Conversion of Forest Protection and Wildlife Area located on the Bukit Batu and sub Mandau owned by the Indonesian Ministry of Forestry. The purpose and objectives established Elephant Training Center (PLG)-Riau Sebanga is as a means to foster the impression of the people that elephants are not as destructive animals that should be destroyed but the animals are beneficial to national development.
Target of the Elephant Training Center (ETC) is to capture the elephant’s nuisance to the local agricultural community, residential area resettlement and plantation areas are then tamed and trained to be utilized as the capture of elephants / elephant trainer, working elephants and attraction elephant.
