A World Heritage site. Tour the historical castle completed in 1626, which was built to provide lodging for Tokugawa Shogun and as a palladium for Kyoto Imperial Palace. The impressive, elaborate carvings and decors in the Ninomaru Palace are a must-see.
(Ryoan-ji Temple will be visited instead if Nijo Castle is not available).

Kyoto Imperial Palace (Except Mondays)
Duration: 40 minutes
See the Kyoto Imperial Palace, which was used as the Emperor's residence until about 150 years ago. Kyoto Imperial Palace is closed to the public on the following days. (Kitano Tenmangu Shrine will be visited when Kyoto Imperial Palace is not available).
Kitano Tenmangu Shrine (Mondays and Tuesdays when Monday is a national holiday)
Duration: 40 minutes
On Mondays (and Tuesdays if a national holiday falls on the preceding Monday), this tour will visit Kitano Tenmangu Shrine instead of the Kyoto Imperial Palace. It is famous for housing the God of scholarship. This shrine's main hall is a designated national treasure. The shrine is especially great to see during the plum blossom and autumn leaf seasons.

No drop-off service to hotels will be provided. Please head to your next destination on your own from Kyoto Station.
Warnings : - The host reserves the right to alter the destinations to visit or cancel the tour if there are events of inclement weather, heavy traffic condition, and other important events that may cause delay.
- Kyoto Imperial Palace is closed on weekends and national holidays. If the tour falls on these days, the alternative is Kitano Tenmangu Shrine instead. It will also apply to days before and after of Kyoto Imperial Palace public viewing during the spring and autumn on May 14 to 17 because of Aoi Festival, which is the year-end New Year's holidays and at any time that there is an Imperial Household event.
- Nijo is closed on Tuesdays or Wednesday if the former is a holiday during the months of January, July, August, and December, and also during the over the year-end New Year's holidays. The alternative destination is Ryoan-ji Temple.
- Filling out a form with personal information is required before entering Kyoto Imperial Palace. The host will give out the form on the day tour.
