Lovely property not too far off the Calder Freeway with several cottages. We stayed in the Teahouse Cottage- it was a cute little 2 bedroom with full kitchenette and a fireplace. Being pet friendly, we were able to take our furbabies who also enjoyed the little weekend getaway. The kids enjoyed the vast gardens and treehouse play area; and that there was WiFi (an important staple these days!). We would certainly consider going again

Staying for a short getaway. Maps took us down backroads onto gravel roads. We arrived at this delightful property consisting of refurbished cottages for different sized groups. The grounds were beautiful, amenities available varied to keep kids of all ages entertained. We stayed in the Gardeners Cottage, a lovingly retored old building featuring much of the original constuction. It was perfect. Clean, homelike, comfortable. Our host, Andrew, couldn't do enough to be helpful, informative and welcoming. Most guests were going to the Elton John concert. So Andrew hired a bus - organised a gathering of guests for a pre concert drink in the gardens, drove us to the venue and picked us up afterwards. Incredible. A peaceful haven where you can do as much or litlle as you want. Do yourself a favour and give yourself a little holiday at Taradale Estate. Intend to go back for longer.

We had a great weekend at Taradale House Estate. The owner went above and beyond to make our stay as relaxing and fun as it was. We were very thankful for the experience and would highly recommend staying here.

We stayed with our two small children and found the cottage just perfect for our needs. In addition to functionality, it was beautiful, quietl and clean, with very comfortable beds!

Relaxing two night stop in Orchard Cottage. Everything we needed was on hand and an amazing bathroom with double shower and spa. Quiet location. Loved our time there.

Love Taradale House. The property was beautiful with 5 cottages. We stayed in the smallest cottage, but it had everything you needed. The bath was amazing, looking out into it's own garden. I'd definitely love to come back and bring my extended family as it would be a great place for a big family gathering.

Big old trees, cottages & barn accommodation, space in between. Lovely garden area & vineyard, pool too. We were only two but this would be an amazing place to stay for groups. Comfortable, quiet, spacious dog friendly country stay. Lovely drives though surrounding areas & towns.

We stayed at Gardeners Cottage- it is a delightful quirky little cottage with 3 bedrooms (we did have trouble finding the 3rd bedroom and my son instantly claimed it as his little hideway). The loft housed the main bedroom with a large bed (beware, the roof is slanted so if you're tall, you might hit your head). And past the lounge was another bedroom with double bed and sitting area with rocking chair and reading nook. The cottage was overall clean but did have some issues in terms with loads of dust and cobwebs- not really a good thing for the asthmatics in my family. I could only wipe some of it away with a damp cloth as we didnt seem to have a broom (otherwise I would have tidied it up). My other issue I have had with these cottages (this is the second time we have visited) is the lack of cutlery and crockery. There really needs to be enough to cover whomever is going to be housed in the cottage. So Gardeners Cottage fits 6- there should be a setting for 6. I was prepared though this time and carried with me additional items. There was more than enough room for everyone- the outdoor area is great and we used it every day, including the BBQ. It is nice and quiet despite there being 4 other cottages onsite in near proximity. Plenty of parking. We would still visit again- thinking August and trying Orchard cottage or going back to Teatree cottage which was just lovely.

Lovely location. Gardens are probably the highlight. Our summer getaway was really enjoyable. On the whole, it was a great value get away. Our small cottage was very cozy and bright. Glad we came. Maintenance is becoming an issue I suggest. Pavers not secure and hazard. Windows that don't open and have no screens. Bare minimum assortment of random cutlery and crockery. The games room and tennis court are borderline unusable...too much to maintain. Our cottage was the smallest, and cheapest, so maybe the other options were better kitted out. Thanks for having us.

Gardens where beautiful and house was very clean , with plenty of heating , maybe just warmer doonas and blankets on beds would be good in the winter..... didn’t like the lounge much either , looked a bit dirty , maybe a leather lounge would be more practical..... but overall was a beautiful place to stay and would definitely come back 😁

Lovely location and interesting property. Also affordable. Linen clean, but better dusting, mopping, vacuuming and upkeep needed.

The Estate itself was great, we unfortunately had the cottage that the floor plan didn’t allow us to sit in front of a fire on a rainy day. Photos were a bit misleading. Would go back if another cottage was available.
