The place needs renovation and makeover, the rooms are clean but the carpet old smells a bit musty watermarks on the hallway carpet, the rooms are warm, and the old wall mounted air conditioning makes a lot of noise but does little that is useful, must be made by the Trump corporation. But you get continental breakfast, the pool is nice and clean and you can pay to access the tennis courts which are located. OK for a cheap place, parking is free. 20 minutes to Manly, which is not too bad, but at times of high demand, you might be better paying a bit more, particularly if you get parking at a reasonable rate. Pretty quiet.

The nature setting of this city retreat is lovely, but overall, the property could be much nicer. The rooms were clean and comfortable, although a long way from being modern I guess that is forgiven. Breakfast is a bit mediocre, maybe more in the lack of presentation than what really was offered. There was a choice of four cereal options, a bowl of fresh fruit, and the option to toast your own bread. We looked for continental options such as danish or croissant, but they were nonexistent. The reception area has been turned into a poorly put together coffee area and office. While we were there, it was quite warm, and a dip in the pool would have been lovely, but it was not very clean and didn't have anything to inspire us to use it, such as poolside chairs, umbrellas, etc. The entire property simply needs love, care, and attention. Yes, it was cheap to stay, which was suitable for us, but it is sad to see a potential excellent small retreat languishing. On the plus side, however, there was free wifi, a bar fridge, and a room, and plenty of free parking.

We stayed at the falls cottages for two nights while up in montville for a wedding last weekend. This was also a present for my husband for his anniversary. These stunningly secluded cottages were beautifully clean, offering everything you could possibly need. Plenty of breakfast supplies all local produce, chocolates, port, good coffee, plenty of wood for the lovely log fire, and a double spa bath. We enjoyed two very romantic evenings here away from the hectic daily grind of three children and the normal. There was so much wildlife Cows, birds, a possum, and many stories told to us by Alan about Jesus the bull and other animals who were in the falls and the surrounding area. Arena and alan were extremely great hosts, going above and above what was required on so many occasions. On our first night, Alan took us to and from dinner, the wedding we attended on Saturday, and back into town later that night. Who can ask for more? If they had tried, they would have been more helpful. Alan was fluent in local knowledge, which made our stay even more interesting, and the arena was lovely. All of these little extras will guarantee you will return to a place, which we will most certainly do. Thank you, Arena and Alan, we cant wait for the next kidfree weekend to come and visit.

A great value, this place. It will cost you twice as much if you want 20 better all around. There aren't many birds in the park, and they played tennis with a tennis ball to disturb the tranquility, but with a continental breakfast thrown in, this was a wonderful stay. You get bread and jam, and you have to make your own toast, so an Aussie continental breakfast wouldn't rock a Danes boat, but it was there. So I'm not complaining about the small but comfy rooms and the shower works. The three-star rating is tops for this cost range. Stay here if you want peace, rest, and a dollar in your wallet in this noisy, overpriced, rip-off city.
