The location of this lodge is key because it's the nearest entrance to Yosemite. Keep your expectations realistic, recognizing that this is an older structure that has obvious signs of wear. Although the room was comfortable and clean and the balcony over the merced river was lovely, it could use an update. Our room had a fireplace and a jacuzzi tub, although we didn't use them, and the kitchenette was handy. For the setting, the restaurant was average, and it wasn't too expensive, and the pizza restaurant had excellent pizza. Both are incredibly practical, as is the lodge store, which stocks everything you need and a plethora of souvenirs. Families or groups traveling together would really appreciate the large game room and gathering area. For unafraid accommodations in national parks, we have spent a lot more for far worse just because the proprietors know they can get away with it. Yosemite view lodge does not fall into that category, and I think the whole vicinity is fairly fair. You will have to pay for wifi while you're there, and there is very little, if any, cell service there. Youll have to travel a little farther if you're seeking other dining options because there isn't much else to El Portal. However, the setting and ease of accessing and leaving the park are unrivaled

This is a decent hotel. The closest place you can stay outside the park. From here you can be inside the park in 10 minutes. The pizza from the pizza restaurant was very good to after a long day of hiking.

I came here to check out the badger pass ski area with my dog and this was the closest dog friendly accommodation. Room with river view was fine, nice small balcony overlooking river. The bathroom was a bit outdated. We came midweek and it was pretty empty. One of two restaurants on the property was open, but the menu was sufficient for two nights. Nothing else within a 20-minute drive afraid. Breakfast in the restaurant wasn't cheap. Consider the on-site food gift shop and in room fridge, stove, and microwave as an alternative. There is no cell signal here, WiFi is 10 dollars.

We didn't even weigh that much sheets had tubs of lint balls, stains and just disgust. The bed cover is 100 years old. The mattress had a hole in it. there were 4 channels to be able to connect. The wifi had to be paid for, which is ridiculous in 2023. The game room was nice, but half of the games were broken. The breakfast buffet cost 18. 95 and I couldn't even cut the pancakes. The fresh french toast that we waited for was delicious. The waiter in the morning with the hat was fantastic. The fitness area was nice. For the amount they charge for these rooms, they certainly do not put any of it back into the quality.

A tiny slice of heaven located just outside of Yosemite National Park. During our California road trip, we stayed here for two nights. The hotel was easy to navigate, offered lots of parking, and had everything youd anticipate from a lodge. The reception area is a large hall with cozy seating, roaring fires, and high ceilings. The staff was so friendly, and the room was spotless and very big, though a little antiquated. Excellent indoor and outdoor pool areas and a bar on site for food and drinks. There is an outdoor fire where you can roast store kits they provide you upon arrival, which is a lovely experience and a great way to meet and chat with other visitors. The national park is accessible in just 5 minutes by car. Given the traffic, the national park's entrance is just a 5-minute drive away. For the duration of your trip, the Yosemite valley and tunnel view are both within 1, 5 hours. The marissa grove of giant sequoia is also a 10-minute drive away. The only drawback was when the receptionist tried to charge us for our stay, despite the fact that we had prepaid through a travel agent. We had to leave feared wed be charged again the standard fee, but luckily, our agent had resolved later that day, and they indicated that the lodge had probably

I would recommend staying at a tenant lodge to anyone in any season. I enjoyed my daughter on the snow at the tenant lodge. The staff were extremely helpful, especially when we put on our snow chains and drove down to the valley. Our room is comfortable and well decorated, the deli provided great food options and we had a great time sitting by the outdoor fireplace.

I really enjoyed my time here and used it as a base for Yosemite. The weather wasn't great, but who cares when the scenery is so good. The hotel is very grand, but it still retains a very relaxed feel. All the staff were friendly and efficient. This place is so fantastic!

The hotel is in a strategic position and convenient to park and get parking facilities. The service here is very attentive to our every need. A very clean and pleasant hotel. The owner of this hotel was very friendly. The staff also went above and beyond to accommodate my request. The location is also very strategic. The parking area was so peaceful even though I was staying here. Nearby, the best restaurant is the Happy Burger and Coffee at the Sticks Cafe.

This accommodation is a large room and very clean. The room has many windows and the room has good natural light. They are also well equipped with a night curtain. They have a parking area to accommodate large cars and a very nice restaurant close by.

The bad reviews are nonsense I think it's people like Karen here trying to get something for nothing. The room we stayed in was clean, comfortable, quite big, and the lodge staff was friendly and competent. Hence, I highly recommend the happy burger diner right down the street.

We had a good first-floor room with two queen beds and a spacious bathroom. One of the sheets was stained, so we had to change them. The surprising thing was the shower was clogged, so when we tried to shower in the morning, there was standing water in the shower stall. That was disappointing because we were there for one night and needed to freshen up in between several visits to Yosemite.
