Camp John Hay is a class act. The hotel itself is a bit outdated but they are working on that. It is however immaculately clean! The grounds and surroundings are stunning and there is so much to do in the area. We loved it and will definitely go back.

The place is perfect for the Christmas season because of the ambience and facilities. What ruined our stay was the presence of boisterous and inconsiderate guests in one room who partied there and the management belatedly reprimanded them. After somebody complained perhaps. There should be a strict policy on this so that the other guests would not be disturbed.

IMO best value in Baguio area, even though technically a little pricier than other hotels. Good choice if you're travelling from another country and want a sure thing. Reasonably good restaurant. Staff was always helpful. Quiet at night, at least after ~9pm. Building showing it's age a little by finishes a little worn here and there, but so what, it's still an overall good hotel. Cheapest room ('superior') was fine, I also tried the middle grade room ('deluxe', with balcony). Water pressure pulsed higher and lower a little, which is weird, but showers etc were still functional. I didn't use alot of hot water (was alone) but didn't run out of hot water. Conveniences I appreciated: the concierge will call a taxi for you when you need to go somewhere, and there's an ATM at the hotel. Nothing bad happened, everything was decent. I assume the more expensive hotel next door (The Manor) would also be at least as good as this one.

Very friendly and helpful staff. It is the most beautiful hotel in Baguio to me. This was the second time I stayed here. I will not stay elsewhere unless newer and better hotels are built in the future.
