This accommodation is highly recommended. This place was chosen due to it's proximity to Hell Valley and its main shopping street. A small bathroom and a big Twin room are adequate in size. A nice touch are a boil jug with boiled water. After exploring the Hell Valley's trails, it feels great to soak in seven different types of onset at the sister hotel Daichi.

I like that this hotel has a beautiful park and is located in Jigokudani. Its name is Sakamoto Inn, the Spa is amazing with different size, temperature, color, scents and hot water facilities. This place is very good and very clean. Besides that, the staff at this hotel are very caring and friendly.

The shuttle shuttle bus ride from support to the hotel was good. The staff was friendly, and check in was easy. The inn is in a strategic location, so getting to the closest noboribetsu station is easy just 20 meters away from the bus stop. It costs 340 yen per commuter. Breakfast was surprisingly good, with a few Japanese pickles, and the most unusual one is aka chikara, a traditional delicacy. What a pleasant surprise!.

The room is very basic but clean. The window could open but the central heating and AC couldn't be turned off, another very hot Japanese hotel room. Free parking but a bit confusing using the supplied map to access it. It's actually just across the main road. It was good for one night on our 10-day self-drive tour of Hokkaido and gave us a chance to see the interesting local geothermal area. Autumn trees are found mid-to-late October. A bigger hotel with the same management? is across the street. The satisfying breakfast made this a value choice even after paying the expected, extra local bed tax.
