Overall, we enjoyed our trip and the staff were polite. The hotel's sauna was excellent. The room was comfortable in a hotel in a Japanese style. The hotel picked us up and dropped us off at the railway station. Breakfast and supper were both included in our package and tasty. Additional western food options would have been nice to the breakfast buffet menu. Ski hire is available at the hotel, and we thought the equipment was good. Ofuro japanese baths were fantastic. The only addition would have been a gym.

We stayed at this hotel for both breakfast and dinner. The location is fantastic, as it is close to the Ski Rental Store we used that provides complimentary shuttle buses to and from aura and immediately adjacent to stunning Takizawa Park, which served as the icing on the cake at the end of our wonderful snow trip. The facility is old but well-maintained, and exceptionally clean. When we returned from a long snowboarding trip, it was a pleasant surprise that they had already made us a futon bed on the tatami floor. Even if the tatami floor was really comfortable, the pillows were very hard and high, which wasn't helpful after a day of tumbles and falls. When we used the communal onset, which included the outdoor one, nobody else was present, making the experience more personal and unforgettable. The showerchanging area facilities were also excellent. We reserved breakfast and supper for our visit. Dinner was a surprise with fancy western cuisine names but mediocre flavors and ingredients. Breakfast was great! Very traditional with a wide variety of pickled vegetables and hot food options I finished everything in the picture. They should stick to what they are good at and let that shine. We enjoyed our time in the Japanese countryside, and we'll return even for breakfast and the proximity to Takazawa Park.

The hotel looks shabby, and suspicions began to creep in while we waited for check-in at the lobby. To be fair, the room is clean, and the Japanese room is very spacious. And despite the small English-speaking staff members speaking, the service was always friendly and very pleasant. A complimentary shuttle service fromt or echigoyuzawa, so you don't have to carry your luggage 8 minutes up a steep slope. Onset is free, no extra fee. We paid for breakfast, which turned out to be a traditional Japanese meal. This hotel serves local guests, making it difficult for them to answer complex questions or provide local insight into the town. The channels are all local Japanese, and the amenities are very simple. Not appropriate for those who require creature comforts like foreign channels and well-appointed toiletries. With sundown beginning to creep in the early hours of rpm, it's hard to keep the kids entertained. Very few food options. We had to walk outside every lunch and dinner to find little restaurants lining the streets. The walk out is fairly quiet and chilly. Not appropriate for families with small children. Although this property advertises skin and shout options, there are very few snow play areas for children. We were told sternly by an old uncle doesn't look like hotel employees who insisted our kids couldn't play outside the hotel porch and wanted us

The room was roomy and appeared to have recently been renovated. Some of the staff spoke English, and a shuttle will transport you to the nearby restaurants at Yasawa station. Otherwise, it is malleable in 10 minutes, however, there is a steep incline that leads to the hotel one you turn off the main road. A pod with a booth at the base station that speaks English can book ski instructors. Our ski instructor, Yuki, was patient and talented. The ski shop in the basement offers discounts on ski rentals. The Japanese breakfast buffet had a nice spread. The ski rental store is located in the basement, which is close by. Guests can use the lifts without a massage therapist, and the space was spacious. The ski shop and ski rentals are located, so it's strange not to be able to exit the ski slopes. Otherwise, the yuzawa ropeway station has a ski rental shop. The spoke English ski instructors can be booked from pod, which has a booth at the base station. Our ski instructor, Yuki, was incredibly patient and excellent.

Pros Ski in ski out to yuzawa open hotel shuttle bus to echo yuzawa train station from am to rp Very large room when compared to most hotels in Japan indoor onset of him long yes you can swim in it outdoors onset of size am one of the best hotels near ski resorts very clean in every part washroom in rooms are in a room with three compartments, ie bathroom, toilet and basin My room has the view of the lower part of yuzawa open ski resort ski lockers, ski room and heat room, are among the largest in yuzawa ski area. Cons the bed is a bit too soft because I tend to sleep hard mattress the onset is so nice that I stayed too long each day we will definitely stay there again.

This was obtained from the tour that is offered at major train stations. The room we were given was spacious and had a separate room dedicated to the lounge. I'm already familiar with roman motifs, so I won't detail the earliest aspects of this one, but believe me. This is a real Roman, not a hotel with tatami accommodations. This is for stressed people looking to get away from it all. We followed the nearby trekking route, climbed about 30 minutes up a river, and after a manmade looking waterfall, we saw the actual thing while the location was still covered in snow. So beautiful, we didn't really go to this Roman because it simply happened to be there. An initial journey is a trip in and of itself, so we rushed back to the Roman to enjoy the onset, drink tea, and smell the fresh air. I'm not sure why, but I love Japanese air so much! Lol. I didn't anticipate a lounge on the other side of the room when we returned to our room. It had a huge red sofa, which had a very modern appearance. I was unsure what on earth it was doing there, but I discovered that it could be heated up. The time was still snowing in May. It has tatami, futon or japanese beds, a western bath, and a typical

This is a traditional style hotel so be prepared. There are hot spring baths inside the roman and just outside. You can walk and use the shuttle service to access the stunning beginner and medium ski slopes. Adults and children love this place.

They pay for everything and drive us to and from the snowboard area. And then the service was wonderful, especially for the snowboard rental costs, the food, and accommodation costs at the hotel.

The location is excellent, it's not only for fuji rocks but also for relaxing in the beautiful environment of Etching Yaswa. It's close to the train station with access to Shinkansen and many local lines. The hosts went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible, including driving us to the train station and upgrading our room to help my pregnant wife. I highly recommend Otowaya Roman.

The time I stayed here was 7 nights in a year and I have to say that the place has improved. The restaurant and food court are open longer, the breakfast has a better menu and the place looks a bit in need of maintenance and the staff is friendly and helpful. Apparently a bad snowy season but better than a good time in Australia. Overall a great value for the money.

I traveled alone for two nights in the middle of our trip to Japan while my husband was away for work. I specifically chose this location because I wanted to ski in Japan, but I have something handy and in retrospect, probably should have chosen a different hotel location that wouldn't have been much harder to get to but probably would have been a much better experience. My hubby's boss visited Hokkaido, and I must admit that I am very jealous. The hotel was fine. A little antiquated, but the room was really big, comfy, and clean, with all the usual amenities. There were numerous options in terms of food, but the quality wasn't that great, I was accustomed to amazing Japanese cuisine of all kinds on this trip, and I didn't pick the nicer eateries. I had wanted to find some hot spots at night where I could engage in discussion and get some beer, but nothing was ever busy or open. I decided not to take my last day out since the gondola to the neighboring hill closed earlier than expected. It was not uncommon for me to be embarrassed, however, because they were lovely. The ski lockers were excellent! Its not like the weather had drastically changed while I was there, so it would have been helpful and less expensive for me to have accurate information on how things were closed. I realize this sounds obvious, but really just bunny hills and

A full-service ski resort. It is great to ski in and ski out. We have ski rentals, ski school, lift passes, onset and many restaurants. You do not have to leave the resort at all. The ski locker on the first floor can be locked up. The location makes it quite convenient to ski for a while and get out later.

It reminded me of a cruise ship on the snow. Skiing is good, but most of your time getting decent snow at Aura is spent. The slope in front of the hotel was icy. Rooms were good. A big drawback was leaving when we were informed that all the free shuttle buses were full and wed have to pay about US$100 for a taxi. At the station, we observed people not allowed on the bus as they were also full. Youd think theyd know how many people were departing with 2, 00 rooms! They finally relented and took another bus. But the discussion leading up to that left a bad taste at the end of the stay. Staff were as helpful as they could be management need to look at their systems.

I spent two nights here after moving from a different ski resort. This is a very local resort. not very new. Lots of Japanese. We went on hard December. We paid an extra to this weekend's national holiday. A complimentary shuttle from the location near yuzawaechigo station. It took about 15 minutes to arrive. Check-in was systematic and effective despite being incredibly crowded. However, because we got there early in the morning, we were only able to check in at the rp. So we skied down the slopes. Ski lift rentals were cheap, but the equipment was very old and worn. Ski lifts were inexpensive, but it was a bad season and in fact, there wasn't much snow on the slopes. Of course, it is not the resort's responsibility. However, the slopes were packed with vacationers. The room was small but functional. With Japanese comforters, we slept on the floor. The restroom and toilet were quite small. Breakfast and dinner buffets were decent. However, the public onset was good, but the outdoor onset was rather small. There was an indoor pool that was free for guests, but we didn't use it because we didn't bring our swimwear, but you could rent or purchase one at the hotel if you wanted it. There was a very large coin laundry facility, and prices were

I was really worried about our stay as there were few reviews by westerners or even in English. We decided to try it because it was near to Kyoto, easily accessible by bullet train, ski in and ski out, and cheaper than most other hotels nearby. So glad we did. To get to their shuttle bus stop, you have to walk outside the train station and up the street of about 50100 m. However, it was enough for small children. Checkin was easy. Englishspeaking employees were present. The room was large and the kids were excited to experience a Japanese style room with futon beds. Because they weren't comfortable with a hard bed, we did need to request an extra futon mattress. But after that the room was big enough to leave the beds set up all day and still have the remaining half of the room used as a lounge dining room. You get robes and slippers to wear around the hotel, and many of the Japanese take the shuttle to a nearby ski field for the day. It was a fantastic beginning! We had never been there before, and when we initially worried about being naked among strangers, everyone was friendly, and we really enjoyed the experience. But my kids had been learning, so it was perfect for them. Although my husband and I have previous skiing experience, it is not too monotonous. Ski apparel and equipment hire are available for rent on the site. We forgot our children'
