We enjoyed our two nights at Kau Yatun. Albeit a little outdated, the rooms are comfortable and clean. No air conditioning, so a few in our group of three families requested fans. We opened our window (after the lights were off to not attract insects), got cooled off, and awoke to sheep, dogs, and large rabbits outside. Linens and bath products are of high quality. Dinner in the restaurant was quite good and it was nice to choose our wine from the offerings on the shelves around the restaurant. Breakfast offerings were plentiful and fine (not exceptional by any means). We threw a frisbee (our own) around the sheep pasture one afternoon, which was fun. No one said anything to us about the estancia or the opportunity to experience it. We may not have had time due to our travel schedule, but it would have been nice to have known. The walk from town is not difficult or too long, especially following an excellent dinner at La Zaina.
