The Cambridge Lodge was a nice surprise. Doesn't look like much from the outside, but the room was comfortable (go for one at the top) and had everything we needed - big, clean bed, mini fridge, powerful fan and High Def TV. Recommended!

Great location- Walking distance to the shops and bars of newtown! The staff were great and the rooms were so much more than we expected for the price we paid! Would definitely stay here again :)

Excellent enthusiastic friendly staff!! Beautiful building across from Montague Gardens, quiet, conveniently located, parking available upon request. Immaculately clean rooms with quality bedding - blissfully comfortable & with an outlook through the trees to the inner city. I also loved how it was decorated in the common areas downstairs- a huge funky chic ornate wall hanging, gorgeous Balinese day bed, etc. I really enjoyed my stay & was very impressed with all aspects of the service & facilities.

We were 3 couples in Sydney for a night out @ The Enmore Theatre. 'Cambridge Lodge' was a fantastic choice for our 'digs' for the night. It was less than a 10 min easy walk to the hub of Enmore/Newtown. Our double room was small but comfortable and exceptionally clean. The room was well-appointed (fridge/sink/TV/heater/fan/bedside light). The bed was comfy and the towels were plush. There was free street parking close-by. In addition, the lodge is near to train and bus to the city and in either case is just a short ride. The lodge staff were friendly & helpful and the other customers looked happy to be there. I would return and I recommend this 'backpackers' to any/all people of any age, looking for inexpensive, clean accommodation.
