Exceptionally clean property. Great shower pressure. Convenient microwave & toaster. Only negatives were the TV which is quite old & not up to date with the additional free to air channels released in recent years. Also there is no fly screen in the bathroom & some mosquitoes were buzzing around the room.

We picked Westside as we needed somewhere with free parking not too far from the airport. It was well located and close to shops and meeting friends in the inner west in the evening. The check-in process was easy, parking was roomy and felt pretty secure, the room was tidy and had everything we needed (except we brought out own travel cot for our baby). Water pressure was excellent and so hot! To check out we just dropped our key in the box and off we went. It was small and basic, but we only needed somewhere for a few hours as we were on a 6am flight and travelled from 3 hours away.

I stayed at Westside for three nights and had a comfortable stay. The room is not large, but it’s perfectly ok for a room to sleep in. The bathroom is a little ‘cosy’ but the shower has great water pressure. The room including bathroom was clean, the bed comfortable and the bedding spotless. The room has kettle and hot beverage facilities and a microwave. There are glasses in the fridge. My room had a very recent model air con unit in excellent working order. The entry and exit to the car park have security barriers accessed via electronic room key - that is great peace of mind. All the staff were friendly. Only a couple of criticisms - all motels and hotels I’ve recently stayed in have mugs instead of cups and saucers. An upmarket hotel had the dark mugs from KMart which cost $1 each - and that is perfectly fine because they are a good mug. Westside, you need to do away with the tiny cups and saucers, it is 2022, not 1972. You can provide a much better experience for your guests by putting two mugs from Kmart into each room for about $70, perhaps even cheaper from a wholesale hospitality supplier you already use. Finally - in your room amenities you list cable channels and you have a large Foxtel sign under your main sign out front, but no cable channels were available in the room I stayed in. That is false advertising so you need to address that promptly. On balance - I would definitely stay here again.

My room at Westside was unexpectedly spacious for the rate I paid, and being able to park right out the front of my room is super convenient. The fixtures etc were dated and showed signs of wear and tear, but were all totally functional and clean. The AC in the room worked perfectly, thank goodness, and the blockout curtains and thick walls meant I had a quiet and dark room despite outside lighting for security and being right next to the carpark.
