We had an amazing experience. The Chateau and the surrounding grounds are beautiful...like living in a fairy tale. The owners and staff are very kind and welcoming. The private hot tub and sauna are very relaxing and serene. The experience of eating dinner here is something we will never forget. The food was incredible and presented perfectly. Every course of our meal was like a work of art and the flavors were unforgettable. This truly has been an experience of a lifetime and we cannot recommend staying here high enough.

Amazing place - wish we had more time to explore but arrived late at night (it’s a bit difficult to find in the dark). It’s worth a stay - did not get to try breakfast but it must be as wonderful as the accommodations! We wished there had been a coffee/hot pot on our room. It would have made the stay even more pleasant. The view of the lake from our room was a lovely.

Hartelijke en persoonlijke ontvangst (door de kasteelheer zelf!). Ruime basic kamer, redelijk goede bedden. Sanitair heel netjes. Heerlijke dinner, lekker ontbijt. Overall heel goede vriendelijke service. Fantastische locatie... heel rustig

This was the perfect stop over while exploring some towns and castles in the Ardennes. From the trip through the forest up the driveway to the castle, to being greeted in person after driving through the gates, the experience was magical. The castle is situated on a large private grounds that you are free to explore and makes you feel like you are in Sherwood Forest. We would absolutely stay here again.

The castle's exterior and its lovely park are both stunning. Just as in the picture. Alexander welcomed us with open arms and led us to our room. The accommodation was in some kind of faded glory that wasn't lovingly furnished. The bed was good, but not quite like the rest of the interior. When we used the shower, the entire bathroom got wet due to lack of screens, and when we pulled the plug from the dryer, the socket came from the wall. That was our first impression that 145 euros for this room might be overpriced. But, we took advantage of it since it was my husband's birthday. We would return after dinner to enjoy some nice good whiskeys in the lovely hotel bar. That was the intent. It didn't happen that way. We had to return before 23.30 because the gate would close and after that we would not be able to enter. To be on the safe side, we returned at 22.00, looking forward to the castle's bar, which would be open until midnight, as stated on the website. However, when we asked for a drink, Alexander informed us that they had the snookerroom, so we could purchase our drinks from the fridge and pay for them the next day. He then went to bed. We knew that 145 EUR was pricey considering the service, or worse, the absence of it, but the

The exterior of the castle is stunning. Beautiful garden and beautiful surroundings for an abundance of calm and tranquility. Of course, the inside is a little old as it's a castle I guess of the past. Probably you need to renovate it in order to keep it up to date while still maintaining the historic vibe. Let me give an example. We stayed in a room overlooking the garden at the main castle. The bathtub was merely a plain tub, without a curtain, and glass. A walk-in shower or a closed cabin for the shower could be created easily. The furniture was an undefined mix of styles and was not very well joking. Overall, calm and lovely outside, enjoy some evening drinks, but a little disappointed with the rooms.

In a word, the castle and its surroundings are stunning. 55 hectares of forest! There is a splendid garden and lovely terrace for breakfast or drinks. The service is incredibly cordial. I really liked the 24-hour hotline because on the first night we remained there there were mosquitoes making it impossible for me to sleep, until I called reception in the middle of the night in desperation and they provided me with an anti-mosquito machine. What a difference! The rooms are in serious need of rehabilitation, as it appears the walltowall carpet has been in place over the past 30 years. As the furniture was of poor quality and peeling, the restroom also required a makeover. The beds were nice, the rooms were incredibly hot, making it difficult to fall asleep. I understand it may be extra challenging to include modern amenities in an older castle, but would they mind providing visitors with at least a fan? The breakfast was varied and rich, but they insisted on cutting everything up in advance, so the bread was already very hot and uncomfortable by the time we came down for breakfast. Additionally, instead of real tea, which I found to be quite disappointing for a place of this caliber. Nonetheless, I enjoy tea aficionado. Since we had heard nothing about the restaurant, we were disappointed, but at least one evening we ate there, all of our meals were

I recently visited my homeland, and my wife and I decided to experience the warmth and mystical delight of one night adventure in this lovely castle. Tucked away on a remote road away from civilization on a distant road, you drive through the wood only to discover this magnificent castle emerging after the end of a curvy road in all of its splendor. Our host, Alexander, welcomed us and directed us to the court yard temporary parking lot. We were shown to our second-floor apartment with a view of the medieval courtyard. Our room was pristine, tastefully furnished, and cozy, and our bathroom was upgraded with a very large bathtub. We live in the Chapiteau bedroom, as each of the other bedroom is named. We were greeted by the helpful dog by the owner from beginning to end as we decided to stroll the streets to witness the creator of an incredible journey of flavor and presentation. We never got the chance to meet our cook, which was the sour end of our journey. We greeted the charming staff and ready to go to breakfast the next morning. Local meat and cheese were available for free among great coffee, juices, fresh fruits and homemade goods served buffet-style. Nothing lasts forever, as the old saying goes, and it was soon time to say goodbye. The vanderheijdens. The Netherlands

The chateau is located on a lovely site with a lake. The room was big and peaceful. I was with a group which was catered for by the hotel. The food and various allergies within the group were great. A lovely peaceful get away!.

Great setting and beautiful building. The room was very comfortable with friendly staff. Self service breakfast was unusual in that any hot food was prepared by yourself.
