We stayed here from Christmas to the 30th of Dec 2019, and we enjoyed our stay more than we have at any other place, and we have roamed a number of countries and stayed at all sorts of hotels, some even priced twice what Hotel Director cost us.
For one, the staff is outstanding. Their training shows in their professional and yet totally friendly manner. Most of them speak high level of English, and have a very good idea of what makes a traveler's day, like the exact location of the closest ATM, or the fact that we'd need a taxi when we are checking out, so the driver is available right then to take our luggage.
The location is ideal: away from the burly of the city, but close enough that we could walk, or take a quick taxi to downtown.
The rooms are clean, and at least ours had a spectacular view of the Andes. Our triple room had a nice walk-in closet with ample hangers and nooks for shoes.
The bathroom was well furnished with lotions and shower-caps, and even had hair ties for the ladies!
There's a lovely pool area and dinner area, and the free breakfast has one of the best array of choice we have seen anywhere.
When we took an overnight trip to Valparaiso, we checked out (to return the next day), they held our luggage for free, and gave us a luggage-tag to document it.
I do want to take this space to apologize to the dinner staff: on our last day I returned my lemonade, asking for a smidge more honey in it. I'm afraid I did not convey my wishes well, and they must have thought I did not like it at all and they made the lemonade all again! But to set the record straight, that lemonade is the bomb: with honey and ginger and mint, it really cools you down. I recommend it to all visitors, whatever else you order!
I hope we get the opportunity to visit Santiago again, just so we can stay here once more.
