The first time (2014) my husband and I went to Fuzhou, we stayed at his Aunt's place, while his siblings stayed at a hotel in downtown Fuzhou. This time we, total 6 of us, decided to stay here because it's roughly a 5-10 minutes walk to my husband's Aunt's place.
After checking in, we decided to go swimming. We were told that we needed to wear swimming caps in order to enter this facility. We said none of us had a cap. Then they told us that we could purchase one for RMB 30 which we thought was expensive because we were only to use it once! We told them that we could just sit beside the pool to enjoy the sun, but that was refused as well. They said we needed to wear the cap once we want in! We found this very unreasonable so we left. We couldn't find in any websites that there is a requirement to enter this facility and we have never heard of Ramada hotels needing guests to wear a cap to swim!
Besides this, our hotel room was not as big as my husband's siblings'. They had 2 twin beds with a bathtub and far away from the elevator. Our room was a king size bed with shower and close to the elevator! We could hear other guests when they return at night.
The breakfast is quite good with many choices. The restaurant offers Dim Sum which is quite good as well, knowing that it's Fuzhou! The Coffee Shop offers good coffees and they are really cheap!
We don't really have a choice but to stay at this hotel again when we visit Fuzhou! But I know that we're not going to the pool and will ask for a room away from the elevator!
