Date of stay: December 2018 Accommodation Type: Deluxe Twin Room Traveller type: Business Overall Rating: 9.2/10 Cleanliness: 9/10 Amenities/Facilities: 9/10 Location: 9/10 Room comfort and quality: 10/10 Service: 9/10 9.2 An “Extra Spacious Room” so comfortable that makes you want to come back again! PROS - We stayed in a Deluxe Twin Room that was really spacious. Came with a kitchen, and a walk-in wardrobe that was linked to the extra spacious bathroom. - The extra armchairs in front of the beds were a delight once we entered the room, where we can just drop our tired bodies and sink into it for a bit. - The room was very new and clean, and the beds were very welcoming and comfortable. - A big room means 2 people can have ample space to lay out our luggages without having to trip over anything! - A spacious bathroom that separates the sink & toilet bowl from the shower and yes a big bathtub! - So much to choose from at the breakfast buffet! - 7-Eleven was right next to the hotel lobby, which gives added convenience if you ever need to buy some drinks, snacks etc. - Easy to get on and off cars that stop right outside the hotel. CONS - The kitchen was poorly lit, would have been better if there’s brighter lights in the room in general. - Despite staying on a non-smoking floor, the corridor still reeked of cigarettes; most likely from inconsiderate hotel guests who simply didn’t care. - Maybe because this was a local business hotel, there were many rowdy Chinese (mostly males), some drunk, talking loudly at the hotel lobby. All in all, despite minor cons, we were very happy with our stay and actually hope to come back again!

We are a family of four with 2 kids, we stayed here while our kids went to Mandarin camp for 19 days. Beautiful, clean, large pool; laundry, daily breakfast, gym, close to the Metro and Fortune 500 businesses on Shannon Road. Everyone was attentive to our needs, even when they didn't speak English. Gym has a few treadmills and weights, adequate for a workout. Mostly Chinese food options around location except Burger King.Rooms offer coffee, water, great tv/movie options. Internet is VERY slow. The Manager, Peter and the Rooms Manager, Andy provided superior customer service, spoke English, and were concerned about our needs.

Reasonable hotel in Nanshan District, room design is like service apartment style with lots of kitchen appliance that didn't use, kind of waste of space (maybe it was originally design as service apartment) Staffs is pretty alright, but not really up to hotel standard. Only have a restuarant in the building. Gym is decent, limited machines. There is an outdoor pool (more for soaking of water during hot day) Personally, I like the small space (outside) where I can dry my clothes Near to the Shenzhen Uni, need to expect lots traffic during peak hours

The room and the hotel itself is not bad. Four stars is ok for such a hotel. MTR station just near hotel exit, Starbucks, ATMs and a lot of restaurants in the same building, 24h shop and big SPA center also in the same building. The main problem that nobody except several persons speak English. And food given for breakfast is 90% for chinese taste, not european. But the main thing that disappointed me very much and I didn't expect it from a 4/5 star hotel was that I forgot some things in room while leaving (clothes etc) and asked them to send it to me. At first they answered my emails once in 2-3 days (it was Will Zhang who answered me last), then once a week and for now it is a month passed and they just ignore my emails etc. I never felt so upset with 5* hotel. They just took my belongings and do not want to return them even when I said that I am ready to pay all expenses.

Like another reviewer, I didn't have a choice in selecting this hotel as this was booked by our company's local admin. This is billed as a 5-star hotel but it barely a 3-star for me, someone that travel 70% of the year. While the property is new, the room is incredibly dumbly furnished. Necessities are not available but useless stuff are abundant. The room is midsized, did NOT have luggage rack, steam iron or ironing board but it has a little kitchenette that consist of 2-tier dishwasher, an oven and a Chinese style heavy-duty exhaust fan for the stove. But get this, the stove is a little single burner. Why would you install a giant exhaust fan? And there is no cookware to use the burner!! There are only 1 plate, 1 bowl and1 pair of chopsticks - why would you need a full size double-deck dishwasher? On top of "lovely" kitchenette, my room only had a tiny-tiny frig, that is meant to store a few drinks. Why would you have a kitchen setup when frig is not equipped to store food... Do not disturb system consist of hanging tag AND an electronically controlled light. Unlike most hotels, the DND light switch is NOT by the door, but installed on only one side of the bed, the side that's the farthest from the door, and there is NO WAY to tell if the light is switched on from within the room! Bed-side electric outlet is only available on one-side, not the side with the light switch!! Errrrr! If you want to charge your phone, you have to roll over to one side of the bed, but if you want to turn on/off the light, you'd have to roll over of the other side of the bed. The hotel's staff are some of the most inexperienced ones I have ever met in 20 some years. At my check-in, they couldn't find my reservation. I produced a reservation log (on my phone) of 20 some rooms we booked and pointed to my confirmation, and finally the staff acknowledged he doesn't know how to search my name in English letters!! Ahhh, try just copy the letters from the name on my passport?! This is Shenzhen and a supposedly 5-star hotel and 5-star neighborhood. After all this, the guy forgets to return my phone!! I had invited a VIP guest to join this trip, and I was paying for his room... I had to explained in both perfectly good English and Chinese 6 times to the front desk clerk that I would be paying the 2nd room as well, in addition to my own and that they shouldn't ask that guest for payment. This was then escalated to several supervisors/managers, of which only one had the common sense to ask other staff, "what's the big deal about this... just do this..." They assured me the room is paid for by my card and not to worry. But nope, they still harassed my VIP guest at his check-out, insisting the room wasn't paid for. My guest end up calling me, put me on the phone and I had to yelled at the front desk gal, at which point she finally said she didn't see the note or there is a credit balance and room was already paid in its entirety. The restaurant staff is equally mindless and lack of common sense. I got a small plate of food from the breakfast buffet and sat it down on the table and then went back to to get some coffee. For a matter of no more than 30 seconds, the wait staff decides to clear my table to remove the uneaten plate of food, even while my coworker sitting at the same table alerted her that I just went to get coffee! This happened multiple times during my week stay... I can go on and on about the poor thinking (if any) that went into the design of this hotel or the inexperienced staff here. It's only in China, that a hotel with good potential could have so many countless issues. What shame!
