In compliance with the new "Shanghai Household Waste Management Regulations", from July 1, 2019 onward the property will not provide disposable amenities including toothbrush, comb, loofah, shaver, nail file, and shoe mitt.
In line with the Governments’ new requirement to further upgrade the information level of the hotel public security management and the information management requirements of the hotel industry in the city of Shanghai Public Security Bureau, facial recognition technology is mandated the hospitality sector. As such, Eton Hotel Shanghai has started a facial recognition system as per required.
This system will be used in the hotel's reception to register the passengers' information via the facial technology. When guest come to hotel to deal with check in, we must do the unity of the guest and the registered identification.
All guests are required to have their photos taken upon check in. As this may impede the check in process, we seek your cooperation and understanding in this exercise and apologize in advance for any delays or inconvenience caused.

The number of people who check in the hotel shall be consistent with the order number. If the information of all the people who check in is provided, they shall not check in if their fellow residents do not make face recognition real name registration at the front desk. All reservations including breakfast shall also be registered under real name system. The restaurant will not provide breakfast the next day without registration
The SPA will be closed from July 5, 2021 until further notice.
