Stayed for 2 nights. Room was spacious and well equipped. Bathroom was big and comfortable (bathtub + shower). Location - can’t really comment since it was my first visit to Fuzhou. Hotel located nearby river. Next to hotel is Wanda Shopping Mall with adequate selection of shops (international and local brands). Many small restaurants next to hotel are convenient for having food outside. Breakfast was standard - good selection of local and western dishes. Unfortunately, haven’t had chance to try swimming pool. The only problem experienced was disabled keys next day due to wrong check in. Will definitely consider staying again.

What a shocker! I’m in a hotel most weeks so have a good benchmark for what an international hotel in China should be like and this was nowhere near it - even struggled to meet the standards of local hotels these days. Went to the bar, which was outside, on the first evening and asked for some nuts with our drink - eventually found out we had to order them so order a selection (for over US$20) but they never showed up. Dinner at the buffet was little better with most food lukewarm at best. Second night we tried the Chinese restaurant. Ordered a bottle of wine but was told it was not available, nor the next one or the next one. Asked to be told what was available and the waiter just got angry. We gave up. Also none of the tables were cleared away so dirty tables all around us. The food was good though. And to top off the stay, we went to the lobby lounge for a glass of wine (the red was as cold as the white) and were presented with plates of nuts. At least we finished with a laugh! This Westin is really not up to international or Westin standards. With plenty more hotels in Fuzhou my next stay will be somewhere else and I will certainly think twice about staying in another Westin in China

We just spent 4 days at the Westin Fuzhou Minjiang and we absolutely enjoyed our experience. As Titanium Bonvoy members, the staff graciously upgraded us to an executive suite. The view outside of our windows was gorgeous at night. The suite was also one of the largest during our China experience (bigger than anything we've ever started at except the presidential suite experience in Montreal). The staff was extremely helpful and courteous during our time there. Unlike other Marriott properties (our first Westin experience), you can only have breakfast in the executive lounge on the top floor. There is a Wanda Plaza with a plethora of food options right next to the hotel along with activities for young kids throughout the day. In addition, the special airport shuttle van drops you right near the hotel (50 RMB per adult and 25 RMB for kids). We did take the taxi back to the airport and it was 200 RMB for us. We're also diamond members at Hilton but we chose the Westin since we're trying to complete our stay requirement for status in the future and I'm so glad we did!!! Once again, we like to thank the hotel and the staff for their hospitality and we highly recommend this exclusive property!!!

It is already the 4th or 5th stay of us in this hotel. I am one of their highest level loyalty program members (Ambassador Level for Bonvoy). Everytime we stay for 3 to 4 nights and two to three times a year. The Westin should have a group wide standard, but this hotel is certainly far below the standard. Do not understand how the management can survive this. People at check-in do not let you feel welcome. Checking in is more as if you are bothering them. The housekeeping is friendly and responsive to your needs, but I also doubt the cleanliness of the rooms. In Wintertime, the rooms are extremely warm, not to say hot and to sleep in a room at 26 degrees is very difficult. Windows do only open a little and do not really cool down the rooms. But the worst is the quality of the food. The baguette they have is at least one day old, so you get the bread from yesterday, mostlikely leftovers served on the next day. People in the restaurant are outright unfriendly and if you want something, they give you unfriendly responses or try to say they do not have it. i wanted some jam for my one day and hard, unfresh bread and they pointed me to the syrups you put on pancakes and waffles as their jam. They do not have jam (seriously? a five star hotel belonging to an international group does not offer jam for breakfast?) Anyway, generally, the training of the personell is for sure not sufficient and I doubt it takes place at all. No need to mention the level of english. The food and beverage manager and the Chefs should actually be asked to look for new jobs. Having paying clients and providing this sort of food is quite something.

Stay many times for business occasions. Hairs were found in both bathtub and bathroom sink. Stains were also on both bedsheets and pillow. Informed front desk and promised to re-clean, nothing changes after my return at night for all my stays, how professional. Booked for a 2-day stay and hotel staffs had done me the favor to change it to a 1-day stay, asking me if I have packed and ready to leave right after I checked in. I tried to look for better words to describe this farce but all I can find is simply stupid. If you want your room to be uncleaned, wasting time circling with staffs, being asked to leave in advance, spend all your money on this funny hotel. Trust me, you have much better choices for the same price around Nanchang. And I am expecting an "I'm sorry for your experience" template under this review, after checking responses under all reviews, how "genuine" can a hotel be, the true definition of "hospitality".
