The room was nice: very charming with exposed beams, good bathroom with a door that doesn't leak (rare in Europe!), elevator, and nice staff. Location is also very convenient with great cafes right outside. Only issue was that the room was tiny - so small that we couldn't open the door all the way when the suitcase was on the floor. But that wasn't a problem for us. Overall we were happy.

We have stayed at Hotel Louis 2 for a long weekend and we had really a great time! The service is really good and the cleanliness is impeccable, Our room was a bit small but it was really cosy! Be careful to book such a small sized room in case you stay for longer as you might struggle to fit a big suitcase. The whole place is very well insulated, you don't hear any noise from outside. The position of the hotel is in a briliant area of Paris, 10-15 min walk from Notre Dame and sorrounded by gorgeous cafes, restaurants and wine bars!

I am really surprised. How they can call 4 stars hotel, a hotel like that?Very small rooms. You don't move in your room 2 person. You can't put your luggage any place.Because there is not any place. They put all material just for to show which is must be in a 4 star hotel.Breakfast was ordinary. Reception was unbeliveable...They were thinking only comission from taxi drivers.Ofcourse they are not taxis. Some cars , double price of normal taxis. And they are bargaining commmision infront of you. The location of Hotel is very good. But I am sure I will not stay any more there.

Booked a suite - all shown as large rooms with a separate sitting area on the website. Checked in into a tight bedroom where the sofa was just a bedside table away from the bed! Nothing to do with the photos, this room wasn't photographed for marketing purposes clearly. The reception lady was unapologetic and unsympathetic pointing out that photos are not contractual. I needed a separate area to work while my baby was asleep at the other end of the room - but there was no other end... There was black mould along the bathroom joint. The bath was covered in black stains. The room was clean and pleasant otherwise. Surprisingly of the ten bottles of toiletries in the bathroom there wasn't a single body lotion. I slept very badly as the mattress surface was uneven. Breakfast seemed rather poor and unattractive with just some mini-croissants as pastries in the capital of breakfast pastries, so we didn't stay for it. Otherwise it's quaint and cosy, in a nice side street of a beautiful area, staff were friendly and helpful. But it's definitely not worth the price or the star rating.

We've been staying at the Hotel Louis !! for close to 30 years and it remains our go-to residence when we visit Paris. The things we liked about the Louis II when we first stayed there--the charm, the history, the location, the warm hospitality--are still there. Meanwhile, the bathrooms and bedding have been nicely updated and the soundproofing works well. You couldn't ask for a better location, with good restaurants, cafes and the metro just steps away. Eglise St. Sulpice is just down the street. Rooms are small (it's Paris, after all) but comfortable, with good bedding and newer bathrooms. The wifi works well. The lift is tiny and slow, but, really, what's the hurry? Prices are quite fair for Paris. Staff have been unfailingly polite, welcoming and helpful with suggestions. On a recent visit while Paris was beset by transport strikes, the staff made sure to arrange our taxi to CDG for a time that would ensure our on-time arrival. The Louis II has been an important part of our love affair with Paris for almost three decades. We're happy that it has grown with us and still retains the charm that we first enjoyed there. We are already looking forward to our next visit.
