The rooms are very clean and the view was amazing. It's a great place for kids! Breakfast was great, staff was friendly. Definitely recommended for a nice family stay. What I did not like was the bathroom, it was way too dark, a bit too much of the knight's castle atmosphere for me. Check-in and check-out was contactless and super quick.

Perhaps our expectations were a bit too high of a 4-star hotel (in Germany). Perhaps. Then again, paying ~340 EUR for a room with 4 adults for one night is definitely not a low price by any means (even if it is "4-starred"). The hotel building from the outside is quite nice, giving off the feeling that it is a Spanish castle. The inside tries to mimic the feeling of being inside a Spanish castle, doing it's best to hide the fact that, well, it is a hotel. No problem there and relatively neatly done. The rooms are where our review starts to get a bit more just "acceptable". Even though due to the coronavirus the number of guests greatly dwindled, we still found some things to be not clean in the room. For example, the bedsheet cover - although it seemed washed - had smudges on it, probably from previous guests. On top, in the restaurant we experienced sometimes even borderline rude behavior and general crankiness from the service staff. All this is understandable (since wearing the masks makes everything much harder and more complicated for everyone), but still something that should not be the case for a 4-star hotel. In addition, we had the feeling that there were not enough people waiting for tables in the restaurant, but more on that in our dedicated "Castillo" review. Perhaps - if we come a second time - we will try out more of the hotel amenities or try to come through a special deal and then could give a better rating, but for the time being: don't go with high expectations and you will be fine. 3/5

Room was actually pretty horrible. Toilet door didn’t shut, one toilet despite this being a family room (5), and room was seriously dated and had a cold feel. Location was excellent, but the gym is a long walk under the highway to the bell rock hotel, but nice once you arrive. The Italian restaurant downstairs had some of the worst service I’ve even experienced in Germany. Very rude, arrogant, slow, not a good experience. Europa park was excellent though so still worth it. Next time we will stay at another hotel.

Very nice hotel. Very welcoming staff at the reception. Rooms are small but fonctionnal. Bathroom is a bit akward. Toilet facing a very large mirror and there is a huge step to enter the shower. Good food at the restaurants and easy access to the theme park.

Stopped here for 1 night on way from Uk to Austria Standard family room was a great size and castle themed with bunk beds that the children loved (8&2) Ate at the restaurant Castillo which was fab - all you can eat buffet and Rodizo Comfortable room Easy on site parking
