This is a family run business and has not only been in the owner's hand for a long time but has the personal touch that comes with it.
The owners take pride in making every guest feel welcome.
It is a traditional German hotel / B&B that offers the opportunity to experience home cooked Sauerland dishes. The owner is a chef and takes care to provide a new menu every day with a selection of dinner choices you pre-book in the morning.
The rooms are large and clean.
The bathroom is of a good size so several people can be in there at the same time and shower or use the sink.
The rooms all have nice large windows and are well heated.
There are an indoor heated pool and an infra-red thermal cabin.
A reading room also offers board games and is free to use during the day or evening. Our children and we enjoyed it.
The furniture is good although slightly dated but sturdy and clean. the mattresses were firm but not hard and comfortable to sleep in.
If you have a house dust mite allergy, I suggest bringing an allergy mattress cover along.
The best is the position. It is literally across the road where you can find all you need to ski, including the slopes which are great and our children, wanted to come back to from last year when we stayed elsewhere.
We prefer this place.
A very sweet little thing was that we found a little extra on our pillows when we returned from the evening meal to our rooms. By the way, yes they have TV, but who needs this here.
We would love to come back during the summer too as the surrounding landscape is fantastic and the owner sometimes offeres guided walks too.
He knows everything and everyone it seems.
I can thoroughly recommend this place.
