I highly recommend this hotel...it looks like a rather forbidding fortress on the outside, and that speaks of the excellent security measures. However, once the door opened, we walked into a very cheering, bright, and tastefully decorated lobby, with attractive sitting areas. Christian gave us a genuinely warm welcome, and was totally helpful and interested in making our stay pleasant and comfortable. Our room, #101, was impressively spacious, with plenty of clean storage shelves, a little closet area with real hangers, and even a little table for enjoying our snacks and meal. The beds were comfortable and made up with quality sheets that felt good. The bathroom was also immaculate, with lovely, quality towels and a mold-free shower enclosure that featured a rainfall-type shower. The breakfast was excellent quality, with 5 great choices that applied to that which was included in the price of the room, as well as extras for those who wished to pay additionally. We sat and enjoyed the artistic, harmonious decorating in the breakfast room and other public areas. If we return to Guatemala, we will be eager to return to this gem!
