We stayed 2 nights at the Hotel Museo Mayan Inn. We were in room A4, which was at the back of the hotel.
This room had 2 double beds, 2 comfy chairs, 3 tables, and a wood burning fireplace.
The bathroom had a tub and shower. Unlike some reviewers, we had no problems with hot water or water pressure.
When we arrived, we were struggling with a GPS that wasn't spot on where the hotel was. Luckily, we met Jose, an English speaking guide (there always seemed to be different English speaking guides hanging out by the front door of the hotel), who showed us where we could park (in a locked hotel parking lot).
I used him as a tour guide, and he was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Besides all the normal information about Mayan culture, he took me to a place where they rent costumes for a festival, and even donned one of the costumes for me to see. He also took me out of town to see a Mayan steam bath, which is very like a sauna. He knew where an ATM was that took foreign (tourist) ATM cards. He was good, but expensive.
Back at the hotel, the staff were all friendly, and our manservant lit excellent fires. There is no WiFi in the room. You have to go out to the courtyard. And the bar across the street opens at 4 PM.
We left while the market was still going on, and trying to find our way out of town was a challenge. Luckily, we ran into Jose again, as we struggled, and he gave us good directions to get out of town.
We would stay here again.
