Avoid this place!!! We stayed here for one night to be close to the airport and I’m counting my blessings that we only had to grin and bear it for that one night. The room is dingy, dirty and down by the beach there is a really strong smell of sewege from the portaloos. The air con leaked all over our clothes. There was no hot water. We didn’t get any sleep as there was music playing loudly until 5am. This place needs some serious tlc.

Sadly, me and my husband and daughter booked this place thinking we secured a gem of a place. We travel to a different country every Christmas together. We have covered all of Central America except Honduras . So, because of the political situation on the main land we chose Roatan. Roatan was great and the people were all amazing. We always felt safe on the island. The staff at the Hotel were all doing their best. Sadly though this place is severely neglected. The owner seems too busy turning it in to condos to give any concern to the suckers who booked. There is construction noise constantly going on. Garbage all around the area. We had to move rooms because of mold and mildew and no hot water for 3 days. The next room had a sewage stench all day long as we noticed the sewage was dripping underneath the cabin and flowing in to beach where we were snorkeling. Every morning just before breakfast they would send a guy out to spray crazy amounts of pesticides all around the beach and around our cabin. the air conditioner would suck it in to our room. We would have to wait an hr before going out each day. The guy wasn't at the airport when we arrived. besides a very basic breakfast of scrambled eggs and fried crappy hotdogs there was only one place to eat there and one meal with rice beans and a couple of shrimps set us back $75.00 Canadian. way over priced for poor quality food. There were only two other couples staying in the entire place and they were as miserable as we were. we all ended up staying in West end together at another hotel for half the price. We could not get a refund as we paid for it through booking.com and it was not refundable. I will know better next time. This place is probably going to be torn down soon to make way for condos. Do not waste your money for a long term . There is nothing to do near by and you need to rent a car or take a taxi or collectivo to get anywhere interesting. One or two nights might be ok.

This hotel has so much potential. The people working there were absolutely great. Especially Oscar. He was so kind and helpful. However, the building, the rooms and part of the property were not the best. Starting with the rooms, the one we stayed was pretty dirty, old and without any soul. It seems that nobody invested in the rooms since it was built. Then comes the construction at the hotel. They are building a residence complex, which will be great. But, it really ruins the hotel experience, at least for the daytime when the workers are present. Lots of noise. The hotel has a great beach and very nice bar/restaurant operated by somebody else. It is located very close to airport and ferry terminal. But, there is nothing you can do within walking distance. This hotel is good for short term stay or if you are on budget but I did not feel the island charm and comfort. I hope they will improve their rooms and then I am pretty sure it will be more attractive for younger travelers.

We ended up here for one after our departing flight from Roatan was cancelled. This hotel was recommended by an Avancia representative. The room was spacious and clean. The bar & restaurant were closed as there was a torrential rain storm and they wanted the staff to get home safely. The front desk people were very helpful. They assisted finding us a taxi and recommeded an excellent Indian Restaurant. The umbrella they loaned us was an added bonus. It was a rough night but not because of the hotel or the staff. The weather was unbelievable. We were grateful to have had a nice place to stay that was close to the airport.
