Had visited Manjistha Ayurveda Resort during the last week of December 2016. The so called resort is located in a pretty tucked away corner of Alleppey . You can reach the location by car. If you are in a group and travelling by bigger vehicles then you will have to walk approx 1km to reach the place.
This resort was lately known as Lake Heaven Resort and now taken over by new management and renamed..
The location and concept of the resort is pretty good..With scenic views of the back waters ... That's all on the positive side.
Nothing more. To add .
Negatives.... Are many
The place has got probably only 10 people managing the whole show and they are not trained hotel professionals. They are just unskilled people employed to manage the resort..In which they fail miserably.. not knowing what to do and what not to do.. overall they provide miserable service and don't know about hospitality.
Cleanliness of the place ... There is nothing called cleanliness of the place.. the whole resort is v poorly managed . Spider cob webs on pathways , food spilling all the over the place , dinner and breakfast cutlery can be found at all place with no one to take if back, insects, lizards , spiders can be found in rooms and roof tops..
In Room you can find .. leaking air-conditioning, stinking bathrooms, and stinking towels.. etc.. but I must add.. rooms are good in size and ambience is nice in rooms especially facing the lake...
For kids there are a few actitivies which they can enjoy. And you can find hens, ducks ,rabbits and birds as part of your resort experience.
Food... Guests will have to have find restaurant outside the place , which is a difficult task as this place is not located in city limits. Food here is pathetic and highly priced.
Vegetarians would be utterly disappointed.
Better avoid .
There is a Ayurveda parlour here . I did not find it worth trying .
Overall this is a property which can only be suggested if you can accept poor service and maintenance and hospitality.. else it can be avoided..
Good location but equally poorly and pathetically managed..
