We stayed as a party of 3 in Cempaka Villa #8. We found the rooms to be very spacious, the whole villa was well kept and clean, with aircon in the main living space and in both bedrooms (1 with a double bed and ensuite bathroom, 1 with 2 single beds and adjacent to the 2nd bathroom). The fixtures are old, we had read reviews warning that some villas needed upgrading, but we didn't find this to be an issue at all! We loved the private plunge pool and outdoor showers in the bathrooms too! There is also a larger infinity style pool on-site - we stayed towards the end of the busy season in Bali, so we often had this pool to ourselves! The staff were all really friendly and helpful - there are a lot of stairs (which may be an issue if you have mobility problems) but the staff were always on hand to help with carrying luggage when checking in and out of the villa. The restaurant has a wide range of food, catering to Western and Asian diets. We found the food to be okay, but not the best food we had tried whilst in Bali, plus had limited options for vegan diets available. We had read previous reviews recommending ordering takeaway food to the villas, which we did on 2 out of the 3 nights we stayed. We would recommend Balifornia and Warong Legong - both restaurants had great food, had vegan options and were great value! The resort is in a fairly secluded location, which we loved and found it to be a real peaceful retreat!
