Batu Alam Villa

I thought I would try out staying in a wooden Joglo villa and this one was very reasonably priced. The place was quite difficult to find and a security guard from a nearby cluster of houses kindly showed me the way. First impressions were that the places was very remote, somewhere off a small road in the town of Batubulan. There was place to park my car and the complex included four Joglo style wooden villas, two on each side of a swimming pool. The gardens were well kept and the place quite basic bit nice. I had booked a single room and inside my villa were actually two single rooms with a common living/dining area and a kind of kitchen with a stove and fridge and a ceiling fan and some nice furniture made from big pieces of wood. The room was quite small but I was happy to see that the bed was comfortable and the bedding clean and white. The room had a good split aircon, good WIFI but a television with extremely poor reception making it impossible to watch. Apparently all the televisions had a terrible picture so they were really useless. The bathroom was a mix of modern tiling and wooden furniture and included a bathtub and a large shower area, a toilet and a sink. The shower had instant hot water which was great. However, the bathroom did not come with shampoo or toothbrush and there was just one small bar of soap by the sink. The bathroom was actually very clean and open so that near the shower ere lots of banana tree type leaves. I had a good sleep and in the morning a lady brought breakfast which consisted of either friend instant noodles with a fried egg on top and a cup of hot tea, or two slices of green pandan bread with butter and jam and an omelette and hot tea. I thought the breakfast was not very good, and would have liked to see fried rice with freshly cut fruit, orange juice and an option for coffee, but unfortunately this was not available. When it came to paying my bill, they only accepted cash or payment with a local BCA bank card. It would be better if they had a card machine that accepted all banks and foreign credit cards. Overall my stay was pleasant and it was interesting to stay here. The big advantage of staying in this place is that it is a short drive away from Bali Bird Park and several other locations between the villages of Batubulan and Celuk. My recommendation is to have your own transport, either a car or better still a motorbike or scooter.

Jolie villa avec belle piscine malgré le manque de propreté et de l'entretien des chambres ( souris) Pas d' insonorisation du tout ! L'équipe est très gentil mais difficulté de se comprendre en anglais.

J’ai séjourné dans cet hôtel au mois de septembre 2018. L’accueil était désastreux, personne à la réception. J’ai dû contacter un numéro d’urgence à mes propres frais (hors forfait en Indonesie ...) afin d’avoir les clés de ma chambre. La chambre obtenue n’était pas celle payée sur internet. Chambre sale, serviettes sales (photo jointe). Petit déjeuner correct. Lors du check out personne à la réception clefs laissées sur la réception Passez votre chemin vous trouverez mieux pour le même prix !
