Dukuh Pande Villa is in a good location with less than a 10 min drive to the Sukanati markets and boasts impressive street appeal but that is where the party ends. While the Villa will be a wonder full place to spend a few days when it it completed, it is at present, a work in progress. It offers little of the services advertised no ATM,ticket service, cycle hire or 24 hour front desk. In fact there are no staff on site for the duration of the stay, you lock your selves in for the night and while there is wi fi available there are no phones so contacting the outside world could be difficult for some.We booked a twin room with fridge and were presented with a double and no fridge. The driver and the girl who was there to greet us were able to provide the fridge and a mattress ( no bed ) to comply with our booking but it was not a great result. There were possibly 2 other rooms ready for guests the remainder of the complex, rooms ,reception, kitchen were still under construction / renovation. Having said that the driver was very help full, providing us with transport to the markets and local restaurants for dinner and breakfast.
We were disappointed with the villa because it did not meet our expectations. Had we known in advance what to expect, had the room been ready to receive us and if the price were right things would have been different. I would consider another one night stay at the villa in it's present condition if the above conditions were met..
If you have an adventures heart and you like solitude then Dukuh Pande Ville is the place for you.
