This is a reasonably large hotel with a grand entrance & lots of large areas for weddings, conventions etc. Very empty though when we were there! It is situated up a very steep bank in Muaro itself - better to drive than to walk! There are three floors but no lift, although the staff carried our bags up for us to the top floor. We asked for a hills view - but there is a water works plant right outside - look above that & the hills are beautiful. We had a nice little balcony & saw watching the weather on the hills, very pleasant. The room was large but slightly faded & the beds a bit hard for our taste, but the room was very clean & tidy. The en suite bathroom was ok but somewhat worn, but it has a western-style toilet & a shower, perfectly adequate. There is no fridge but we asked for & were quickly supplied with a kettle & cups by the smiley staff. There is no restaurant & no breakfast - but this may be by arrangement as our Indonesian friend found some & had a take-away! It is a reasonable hotel in a small town & we had a great night's sleep over both nights there. The staff were all very pleasant & keen to help. Other guests too were friendly. Note that the free wifi isn't the fastest & seems to work only on the ground floor. But again, it's ok.
