We were going to stay two nights and extended to 3 because this place was so delightful and welcoming. Located in the heart of quiet little Sidemen, each room is its own little cabin with veranda, where you can eat meals including the breakfast included with the room. Each cabin has a lovely view of the surrounding fruit plants, some of which will provide your juice and fruit salad for breakfast. There is a small pool, which is great at the end of a sweaty day walking in the rice fields. And the best part is that the staff are so friendly, welcoming and helpful. They arranged for transport for a day to surrounding villages and puras of our choosing, and another day they arranged for a guide to trek through the rice fields (you can walk right from the homestay, but we found that walking with a guide was much better than trying to figure out where to go ourselves, and he was nice and informative, too). We splurged for the most expensive cabin with the nicest view, $35/night. This is the most luxurious place we have stayed in Indonesia, and the price seems very low compared to others. All rooms have mosquito nets and ceiling fans and hot water; there was no need for air conditioning in November. We highly recommend this homestay.
