Geday was our host and went above and beyond to help us and to make our stay unforgettable. Very quiet accommodation and beautiful area to visit. Thank you Geday for your generosity and great singing! We booked 2 of the 3 rooms.

We came there straight from the airport where Kori homestay had arranged the pick-up. The driver had limited English but was lovely and taught us some useful Balinese words and expressions on the way there. The room was clean and quiet; apart from the noise of few animals around the homestay (inevitable). The water pressure was low, but again inevitable in this area. We were lucky to have our bedroom by the little family temple, so we had the lovely smell of the incense. The service was simple : at breakfast tea or coffee, fruit salad, toast and omelette but really nice. They do not provide any other food but from a short walk up the cul de sac you'll find an authentic waroeng with the best betutu we had on all the island, and best pepes ayam too! The price is really reasonable and the staff's friendliness makes up for the limited English. We had a lovely time there !

The room we had was really dark. The 2 windows were either in front of a wall or a small internal court. Not to help the light, bars were mounted on the windows. The room is old and weirdly arranged and looked like a cell from ex URSS. The sink is in the middle of the room. The shower is on the toilet like in a camping car (and no, i am not talking about the small shower that comes with the toilet) ! There are only 2 electric socket which are at the oposite of the bed. The room was not cleaned correctly (under the bed, around the bed). And most of all, NO WIFI. The tenants told us that we can use the hotspot of his smartphone. But he also said that the hotspot is turned off automatically if we are not using it for 1 minutes. And he also kept his phone, which means that he had to stay on next room to have wifi, which he obviousy did not do. When we came back from dinner a 21h, we were purchased by dogs and we arrived afraid in the hotel, with hour room with the lights on and the curtain closed (which is weird). We knocked next door and there was nobody in the homestay at all ! So we were in the middle of nowhere, with no wifi and nobody ! Plus the hotel is not really located in munduk but on the next village. If you want to go in the center of munduk, especially at night, you will need 7 min of scooter in the complete dark. To sum up, in 2019 the wifi is mandatory. If not you can make a discount for the disagreement. The room was correct 50 years ago. We paid the same price as beautiful hotels and bungalows all around Bali. This room is worth for only 150000idr.

We spent one night at Kori Homestay. Our room (the family apartment, featuring two giant double beds) was very tidy and spacious, and had mosquito nets, which is always nice. It is a bit off the road so you can actually enjoy a good night's sleep in quiet. The staff its amazingly friendly and welcoming, gladly providing you with hiking tips and a map for self-guided exploration of the sights around Munduk (waterfalls, rice fields, landscape). One of our friends had hurt her toe before coming to Munduk, so she could not walk with the rest of us and had to spend the day at Kori's. Their staff was very caring, drove her to the nearby restaurant, offered her tea and made sure she was OK. THANK YOU for all of that! Kori Homestay is highly recommended.
