Booked through a reputable website months in advance but on check-in day, we were told that the hotel was fully booked and were transferred to a homestay instead. The homestay was in a dire state and we insisted on being sent back to the hotel. After escalating to the booking agent's customer services to help us resolve, a room magically became available. Two hours after check-in, we were told we were in the wrong room and were transferred to a different one - stuffy smell, blocked drains, mouldy silicon, hole in the ceiling, cockroach. When we requested for a taxi to be arranged for us upon check-out, we were assured that it would be done. However, in the morning we were informed that there was no taxi and that the hotel driver would take us to the airport instead - we were charged an extra 20,000 IDR and had no choice but to pay for it.
The only positives were complimentary breakfast and mineral water, a very friendly and helpful male staff member (we unfortunately do not know his name) and proximity to central Jogja. Hotel has a lot of potential but it's a pity that the above disappointing elements play massively against it! Would not recommend in its current state
