We were extremely dissatisfied with our villa and checked out after 4 nights (booked for 9). We had the following complaints: - check in process unclear. We were assisted by a near by resort to figure this out - the villa is advertised as beach access however this involves transiting through another hotel. We were yelled at by staff here before we were able to explain which villa we were at and show the pass. Now we feel like criminals moving through this area. - the pool was green and unswimmable for two days. - the airconditioning in the common area was broken and could not be repaired. This means we had nowhere to comfortably congregate as a family. - the hot water cycles every 2 seconds between hot and cold. - one of our party has a spinal injury and the wet stones around the pool caused a slip hazard. This has activated his back pain. The design of the pool to overflow onto the courtyard is frustrating to say the least. (Constant wet and mucky feet) - the fridge stopped working. - TV in master didn’t work - only 1 lightbulb in the 2 bedside lamps - aircon in 3rd bedroom so loud that this terrified my daughter and so we moved her to stay at the Griya. - furniture around pool falling apart. We had the big white lounges removed to prevent injury. In short, I feel the villa is not as advertised, we are uncomfortable and left early. Efforts to discuss this with the owner were ignored. Don’t waste your time or money here. Stay at the Griya next door.

We required 2 rooms ( 3 people ) very nice layout lovely pool clean well presented Had a great 7 nights. One problem only, we went through every pillow looking for one that did not smell mouldy but all the same. Such a lovely place but new pillows needed.

Very nice comfy villas more modern than other places I stayed on this trip. Air con in my bedroom was not working but when we arrived the staff were onto it and worked well into the night to get it fixed before they went home (while we had dinner in one of the many top Sanur restaurants)...

My parents, my partner and I booked to stay at the Sanur beach villas for 4 nights. On arrival to the villa we were rudely greeted by Yana (the hosts wife) who said "you are late I've been waiting for ages". We were approximately 35 minutes late due to traffic from the boat port, a problem not within our control and we had no means of contact as we did not have wifi. After this, Yana informed us that we had in fact been moved villas due to damage in the villa we originally booked. Villa 3's courtyard, the villa we were checked into, was dark so my partner asked if the pool light worked we were told it was broken. Something I feel they were not going to tell us unless we asked. Yana then asked us what time we will be checking out of the villa to which we explained that my parents were leaving at 1pm to fly to the UK and my boyfriend and I had a late night flight to Australia. She assured us that this was no problem and that we could check out late and in her words "just throw the keys over the wall when you leave". No mention of extra costs or anything. The villa itself is nice, spacious and clean however after a couple of hours the cracks began to show. The air conditioning was not working in the double bedroom, the air being blown out of the unit was warm and felt more like a fan. So we waited a few hours to see if it would cool down, to which it didn't. Therefore, I contacted Alex via email to ask if the air conditioning could be fixed as it was advertised in the price we paid for the villa. Later on, we received a phone call at the villa from Yana who explained that it was too late in the day to have somebody to come out and fix it and the pool light was simply too expensive to fix. I explained the situation to my parents and they asked if fans could be provided for the night with no air conditioning. The response I got was that they did not have any fans available. Something I find hard to believe being in Bali. The following day we were out of the villa all day and upon our return the only thing that had been done was the light bulb changed outside on of the pavilions. So once again, I emailed Alex asking what had been done and he assured me that the air conditioning had been fixed and that it was not cool due to the risk of a cold. He then explain that he had provided compensation with a bunch of bananas. I'm still curious as to how this cools you down or in fact provides light. It became evident that nothing had been done about the air conditioning in the double bedroom so when Yana called again my father explained that it was still not working. The following morning a maintenance guy arrived and proceeded to work on the master bedroom air con, which was working fine. We attempted to explain to him that this was not the one that was broken. We left him to it and went to the beach. When we returned the air con unit in the double room would not even turn on. Therefore, I emailed Alex explaining that we were disappointed with the service we had been provided and that we would like some sort of compensation for the inconvenience and time wasted emailing back and forth on our holiday. Alex then persisted that we had already been given discount on the villa because we got 20% off at booking which is completely irrelevant due to the fact that we had asked for compensation due to the inconvenience. Alex then said we could have late check out something which had already been offered at no extra charge. To cut a long story short Alex became very aggressive and rude in his correspondence and we felt very threatened by his behaviour. Overall the villa was nice but needed lots of tlc. I would never stay again due to the sheer rudeness of Alex and I certainly would not recommend this place unless you want rude, unhelpful messages whilst you are trying to enjoy your holiday.

Villa Shanti Sanur at sunset. Had the most amazing dinner and cocktails Fabulous staff My son stayed 6 nights. So impressed with hotel that we will return next year. Great location. Old style but well maintained

Very nice comfy villas more modern than other places I stayed on this trip. Air con in my bedroom was not working but when we arrived the staff were onto it and worked well into the night to get it fixed before they went home (while we had dinner in one of the many top Sanur restaurants)...
