The Garden Family Guest House is a beautiful place of adobe near Bogor. It has got everything you need, beautiful pool, business centre and great restaurant. Bandung is and hour drive from here. The rooms are neat and clean , staff is friendly. This is one of the best hotels around..

To call this place a guest house, is like calling Buckingham Palace a home !!. The Garden Guest house is much more than the name suggests. It is a spacious, with a garden setting on top of a hill over looking Bogor City. The quality of the garden is like an extension of Kebun Raya the Botanical Garden. To not stay here, would be to deny yourself one of life's eternal pleasures. Like something out of Someret Maughan, this former family home delights in every corner and facet. In the event that you do stay here, and you do not enjoy it, I would personally refund your money.... Its that good ! From the moment that you come up the hill from Bogor, and turn into the large gates, past the security guard, and up to the front door, you will be enraptured with the garden, the settings and the service. This is as they say, a family hotel, run by a family. for your family and your guests. The rooms are all 5 star, with King sized beds, separate shower / Toilets. The room services include your own Slippers, Water Bottles in the room, Tea coffee. sugar and Toiliteries, large Bath towels, small hand towels. As well as this, there are Flat Screen TV's in each room. Video and Cable options are being considered ! Its only been open a year !!! The rooms are large light and airy, but for those hot days, there is also an effective aircon in each room, and large windows which can be opened, when the the rains come, for that cooling effect. The prices start at 550,00.00 Rp however for longer stays, then the management are prepared to negotiate. Currently they are accepting Agoda and other similar sites, and this will be reviewed in the near future The main house, has been built into an L shaped Building, and in front of the main accommodation block is a large Swimming pool. The water is clean clear and regularly dosed with the appropriate chemicals, However consideration is being given to the idea of using salt instead. The restaurant is on the far side of the premises, and the Chef there is from the Island Sunda, and therefore brings his local flavours from these islands to the menu However he is a professional Chef with 25 years experience, and it shows. The care, attention and the detail in the plates ensure that you will enjoy the food. I have inspected the Kitchen and its clean, well laid out. There is an A La Carte Menu, with a Buffet option for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. Room service is also available. The Guest house caters for families and small groups of people. However I think that this would be a wonderful place to bring your special Partner, for a weekend or a few days away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Among the ancillary services, are Free Wifi, A pick up and drop off service in Bogor, For the business Person there are meeting rooms, and conference rooms for hire. A word of Caution, firstly Bogor has no Taxi's here, so if you want a Taxi, you will need to catch one in Jakarta. Or you can come by Train, and then if there is a courtesy car available, then they can pick up if you make a booking. Or you can take an Ancot, a cross between a Bemo and a Mini bus. the fare is 4000 rupiah for a section and you need to take the green no 2 from the Bogor Station, to Sukasari and asked to be dropped off. The second Ancot will be Blue and is numbered 1 and this will be going to Ciawi and Punchak. The Hotel is on the crest of the Hill and is on the left. There are major renovations and Buildings planned in the future and this will lead to some really exciting developments. Maintainance continues in its own gentle way, much like the gardeners in the Garden........

If you have a big family trip, have a birthday gathering, or even friends day out, I'd recommend this place. So cozy, so homey. The owner is wonderful, the staff's helpful, the pool is nice, and of course the garden is something. We'd love to stay there again.

The guesthouse is situated near the intersection of the toll exit to Puncak and the road to Ciawi Raya (near the Vimaya Hills). From the Puncak toll exit, turn right, about 200 m to the right, in Ciawi Raya (Gadog). If you're not really sure whether you want to travel around Puncak or go somewhere else, then the place is a very strategic starting point, because of the close access to toll road. And because its situated on the foot of the hill, the temperature is not as cold as Puncak. Perfect for morning swim, because its not too cold and not hot either. We came on Sunday, and no other guest around, so practically we have the whole place for ourselves. The manager whose also the owner who lived there, was a very friendly and helpful person. He upgraded our room to family room (Seroja), which is very nice and spacious. Staffs although few but very friendly and helpful. The house is an ideal place to stay if you don't want the kind of a busy hotel atmosphere, if what you're looking for is solitude, a secluded place where you can enjoy your time totally with your family. Its a paradise for my child because of the large playground, with so many things to explore, and especially when we had the pool for ourselves. Room amenities were okay, lacking only for toothbrushes, hotel sandals, and minimum towel rack. Breakfast is pretty standard and not the selling point here. You should bring your own meal if you're staying here. However the house is large with many comfortable sitting area. The living room is large, cozy, with soft carpet, making a really fun spot to sit and play around. Swimming pool was perfect because the water is not too cold, even in the morning. Our stay here is a pleasant one. I really recommend this place and won't hesitate to come again.
