In the search for a villa for our up and coming visit to Bali. I found Saudara Villas through a Instagram model she had stayed there with her family and looked like it was in a great spot with minimal driving to get to places. In the lead up to this trip we were required to pay a fist deposit to secure our spot. Then COVID-19 happened and everything went downhill! With the boarders been shutdown and our flights cancelled we could no longer travel to Bali. We got in contact with the host of the villa who lives in Australia so she was well aware of what we were dealing with. We explained that we could no longer travel and was hoping to get a refund or a partial payment back. The host was very brutal about her terms and conditions explaining that we were already in the 30 day period and that we couldn’t get a refund. In a normal circumstance we would understand this however the world was literally shutting down and she was in no way happy to meet us in the middle. She offered a 24 month re booking which she needed 100% payment for this. I’m not sure what kind of of business woman you are but you should be ashamed. She required over $3,000.00 AUD for us to ‘secure a spot’ in the next 2 years. We went through the right avenues with consumer affairs and have instructed us to take legal action. Other villas in Bali refunded other people’s money back due to the circumstances. And this host was jsut not willing to be helpful at all. It is a shame as word of mouth goes along way. I will NEVER recommend this villa to anyone I know lots of people who travel to Bali on a regular basis it’s a shame that is has come to this. I don’t like to write bad reviews as we looked forward to this trip for sometime. We don’t know when this pandemic is going to end and when it will be safe to travel. Bad business!
