The Villa Isabella Putri is a place right on the beach in the suburb Teluk Awur of Jepara. You best reach it, if you take the train to Semarang, a bus from there to Jepara and then a taxi (IRP 25.000) to the place. Jepara has got few foreign tourist yet, most Westerners are there for buying furniture.
The place got six rooms of different style, 4 nicely decorated, spacious bungalows (with partly sea view and hot water) and 2 other. It is a mix between homestay and B&B, as you get a breakfast in the morning (included), but might as well order home cooked lunch or dinner (for about 40-50.000). Drinks are sold (beer 50.000), some restaurants and small shops are around.
In the sea you can bathe (leave on your sandals) and sunbathe on the supplied sunchairs.
Those are the hard facts. But the best of that place is the atmosphere. The hosts (Mia, Anita and Roberto) make you feel really welcome and at home. This feels like family, home away from home, really great. I planned to stay for 3 nights, but ended up staying 10, hardly ever moving out of that place.
