Villa Kelusa

Villa Kelusa was exactly what we were looking for. It's tucked away, surrounded by lush forests and rice patties as far as the eye can see. Wayan and the rest of the staff were very welcoming and bent over backwards to ensure we were well looked after -- they found out my little brother likes dried mango and so went and found a dehydrator so he had some fresh with breakfast every morning. We look Wayan up on his offer to explore the neighborhood by bike and it was really humbling to see all these people so hard at work, with smiles plastered on their faces the whole while (Wayan called it the "village smile"). The place is 4 bedrooms, however one of the rooms is rather small, especially compared to the extravagant open-plan one with a bath tub.. so you might have to fight over that. Overall it was a wonderful stay and I'd recommend it to anyone I know.

This place is amazing, the views from the Villa are fantastic, I'm at the end of a 5 night stay and I don't want to leave! The staff are very attentive and cannot do enough for you. The food is some of the best Indonesian cuisine that I have tried. Thank you too all the staff that made this trip and wedding a success.

Scared to write a review of this place because I don’t want it to become too popular! Grounds are very well maintained, overlooking a lush valley. High quality materials - reminds one of an Aman resort, but completely private! Plus point for animal lovers - there’s a friendly dog and cat on the grounds. The staff have been here for years. Many of them live in the nearby village. You’ll be well taken care of. They’ll arrange anything you want. The chef whipped up a huge and delicious meal for ten people. We also got massages in house. Perfect if you want somewhere private, personal and relaxing.

Just recently stayed at Villa Kelusa in Ubud Bali. What can I say about this place it's one of the most majestic places I've ever been to. I've traveled the world and stayed at four diamond hotels and this place beats all of them hands down. Our host was just an amazing man. The cook, she cooked us some of the most amazing meals I've ever had and she was just the friendliest person ever always smiling with such great energy. Anything we needed they were right there to help out. If you're looking to get away and get treated like royalty you must go and check-out red lotus properties. You won't be disappointed. I wish I could of stayed longer. I'll be traveling back to Bali soon and I'll be coming back to them.its that great.

I last visited the Villa in May 2018; I was delighted to find that the same high standards, the great service and beautiful surroundings still remained. The staff are the same family and manager that looked after us on our last visit. The level of service is exceptional; courteous, timely and always helpful. Apart from the beautiful surroundings, the main highlight is the beautiful food cooked by a local lady. Every dish served is a delight to the tastebuds, beautifully fresh, delicate local flavours and good portion sizes. Highly recommend for a group of friends wanting to retreat however day trips to Ubud and surrounds can easily be done. A beautiful destination, so good you want to leave.
