I found this location online and contacted them directly to book my room. Selita and her husband Ennio provided excellent email communication. It was easy to find the b&b; be prepared for a sharp left hand turn into their driveway. They have a small parking lot suitable for most vehicles, although a large van would be tight. Their property is well-maintained and very pretty. The grounds are lovely with areas to sit and enjoy the garden and sun. Our room was adjacent to the breakfast room and well-appointed. My only suggestion is to provide an espresso machine (keurig or something similar) for those of us who prefer espresso to a coffee urn of percolated coffee. Otherwise the breakfast was a good mix of sweet and savory items. The best part of CasaSelita is its proximity to old town Orvieto. You can leave your car at the b&b and walk uphill about 5 minutes to the free escalator or elevator. They have a nice, well-lit path thru their olive grove up to the road leading to the parking lot. The escalator is interesting because it zig zags up inside the old wall itself. The elevator is a quick ride and open until 2am. The elevator puts you right next to the one of the entrances to the panaromic walk along the ramparts. Very pretty views. Thank you for the lovely visit; we will be back!

I wish I had time staying at this lovely place this summer. I made a reservation to stay here on the way from Tuscany to Rome before flying home. The owner is very pleasant and easy to work with. Unfortunately we have to cancel the reservation due to our flight schedule. Even with the cancellation, they still answer my questions and give me suggestions on local restaurants and other places to visit. That says a lot about their characters. Thank you! I hope I will be back some day!

We stayed at B&B CasaSelita on our recent visit to Orvieto, Italy. We loved the charming setting and the wonderful service we received from our hosts Ludovica and Roberta. The parking on site was convenient and the walk to the upper town was an easy 15 minute walk. We would recommend the B&B and will be back if we travel to the area again.

After reading many of the reviews for Casa Selita, we were somewhat disappointed in our overall stay. PROS: 1) Selita is a charming hostess who speaks great English and endeavors to be most helpful. 2) The location is quite excellent for those wishing to spend several days in Orvieto or to make day trips to southern Tuscany or Umbria and is less than 2 hours drive from the Rome airport. 4) It was just a 10 minute walk from the B & B into Orvieto but the B & B was outside the city walls. CONS: 1) Most B & B''s we have visited throughout Europe offer you something to drink and light snacks when arriving and many have non-alcoholic drinks and some fruit or snacks available when you return in the afternoon or evening. 2) The breakfast was somewhat spartan. Yes, there was bread with jams, cereal, yoghurt, some proscuitto and cheese as well as some bakery cake or sweet bread, but no eggs or omelettes or fresh fruit to speak of. Servings were on the "petite" side. 3) The bed was a mattress on slats with no box springs and provided adequate but not great support. 4) The room was spartan as were the services of "cleaning" the room and bath. Overall, I would rate the experience at 3.5 - 4 out of 5.

Wonderful hosts, wonderful breakfast, wonderfully comfortable and wonderful location. We loved Orvieto and hope to return. It has lots of history, a beautiful Medeival area and one of the most impressive Duomos in the world. It has a healthy tourist trade and exceptional ceramics but it is not overly crowded. We consider Casaselita find
