The accommodation is in a very busy neighbourhood (busy road and night bars), and the windows are not sound-proof, consequently the room is very noisy especially during night. When we arrived, nobody was waiting for us, so we called the owner who said in an unfriendly manner that he was coming but we should have let him know when we were planning to arrive. However, we received no request about the time of our arrival prior to the travel. After that incident, the owner was very grumpy, and he communicated only with a few words. He could not explain even basic things in English when we asked him. Originally, we were planning to be three people but one cancelled, and we informed the owner via email a week before our arrival, however, we did not get any response. He did not seem to be aware of this change and we paid the full price for three people – not only for the room, but also for the tourism tax, which ought to be paid per person per night. The room itself was part of an apartment in a condominium with a hall, kitchen, bathroom and two other rooms, so we shared this apartment with two other families – bathroom included. The breakfast was just a packaged cookie or croissant, a juice box and an apple or banana: really few (especially for men) and very unhealthy, no way to select for one’s taste or special diet.
Overall, we were highly disappointed, although generally we are not picky about our holiday accommodation because we only need to sleep there. This one, however, was an awful experience.
