We stayed at the B&B for just one night upon returning from a week long trip in the dolomites. We decided to spend a night in Venice to show the city to our kids before returning home. The B&B is completely remoderned, very tastefully decorated and has an overall luxurious feeling to it, which is refreshing especially in a city like Venice where so many accommodations are outdated, and somewhat complacent as far as design goes. It is located smack in the city center, within walking distance of San Marco Square. Our room was spacey, clean and elegant, and had a complimentary minibar for water, beer soft drinks and snacks. but the real selling point is the big balcony open to all guests, with sofas and tables and a breathtaking view of the city, perfect for a candlelit takeout dinner or a bottle of prosecco, compliments of the house (believe it or not!) a final word about our host, Anthony, a British expat who literally couldn't have been nicer or more helpful to us. He was extremely flexible about checkout times and also let us leave our luggage at the B&B as we visited the city. Upon our return seeing us a bit sweaty and tired offered us to wash up and gave us bottles of water without even having to ask. This is definitely one of of those places where you feel pampered and at home. Will definitely be back.

3rd attempt at visiting Venice, attracted by the unique beauty and put off by crowds and high price reports. After the record high water, our visit was not crowded and this terrific base for the visit was excellent value. It is about 10 minutes from St Marks Square, offering nicely designed high quality rooms in an original building. There is a 'prosecco room' on the top floor available to all where we met some fellow guests and enjoyed the wonderful view from the roof. Breakfast is continental and fresh, enabling lunch and dinner out (we went to Burano for a pizza and in the evening Ostiera alle Testiere - both great). Everyone on the staff is happy and eager to help. From being uncertain about Venice, this hotel helped put it on our list of places to go back to!

We stayed here over Christmas and loved the personal reception. First tip when in Venice, get a map! Google does not work so well with all the water. Our hostess was super helpful at getting us to the hotel along with many very friendly locals. We got our choice of room on the third floor and choose one with a great view of the square and purple color. We loved the roof top terrace, the free bottle of Prosecco, and the location of the hotel to major attractions and wonderful places to eat. Breakfast was good, but the room was very quiet even with other guests there. Some music would have been nice. The staff was super helpful and friendly. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Stayed for two nights with my daughter in superior room was made up as twin beds. Room good size, bathroom and shower bit small but perfectly adequate, all spotlessly clean and beds comfy so good night's sleep! Breakfasts good and just right to start the day. Quite a few stairs but all manageable, and excellent roof terrace over looking square for drink at night with free prosecco in the fridge! Location perfect, 10 mins walk to rialto or St mark's and less to gallery academia. Check in at locanda fiorita just around the corner. For price and location this is excellent, will pay a lot more for worse! Special thanks to Anthony who help rearrange booking when flights changed and offered plenty of advice for restaurants, he is a credit to the hotel as were all staff and credit to the hotel. If you want small independent boutique style hotel close to everything then this can't be beat. Thank you for making our stay perfect.

This was our second stay at the Bloom. This Venetian townhouse hotel is cosy, intimate and welcoming, delivering over and above in value. We were celebrating my husband’s birthday and Anthony had arranged presents, Prosecco and a card for the big day. What a lovely touch! Perfectly situated for exploring, a short walk to the canals and St Mark’s Square, it’s hard to find a hotel as good as this without paying silly money. Book well ahead, it’s popular for a reason! Highly recommended.
