Overall we had a lovely holiday. Great location on the lake and 20ish minute walk to either Bardolino or Garda.
The reviews I read prior to arrival were pretty accurate, the accommodation is is very crammed in, and close to the road, you can hear road noise however we were able to cope with it, our days were packed with so much and lots of walking we could sleep through anything!
Pros: Great location, friendly staff at campsite and eurocamp reps were lovely and very knowledgeable and helpful. Plenty to do, lots of lovely bars, restaurants etc ( all aimed at tourists though!) price of local wine very cheap and very lovely as all made locally. Bus stop 5 mins walk, theme park close by. Shop 5 minute walk across campsite, well stocked and reasonable prices. There is a separate little shop for fruit and veg also. Bed comfy, and had enough room for travel cot in 2nd bedroom which was great. Accommodation had air con which on the hot days was great to come back to but pls note is only living area not bedrooms which was fine for us as temperature not too bad but imagine it gets hot in bedrooms in the height of summer months
Cons: Pool quite cold in September as not heated, ok for us but for little kids/babies a bit chilly! The accommodation clean on the surface however could do with a really good deep clean. The decking area is lovely however not gated in which makes it challenging with a toddler, eyes in the back of your head required as we had a raised caravan so 4 big steps to get up onto decking, which is like beacon to most small children!
Although there is a bus stop nearby having a car maybe useful as the public transport is not the most reliable, waited over an hour for a bus to verona, one drove past and such like, we learnt quickly the timetable is not always the reality as can get busy along the lake. The ferry is good but pricey, we were on a budget holiday so used as a day out on the lake rather than a practical way of getting around. We were in a basic caravan, so very basic, no TV and the campsite says it has wifi but signal is not great and you only get wifi in shop/pool/restaurant, we struggled to get it in our accommodation.
Overall we had lovely 2 week holiday, 2 min walk to the lake, beautiful scenery etc. I would go back but possibly look at better spec accommodation. But as far as location and campsite in general it was perfect for us.
