We went 'last minute' to Sorrento with our 21 year old son and picked the Ambasciatori as it had good reviews and looked beautiful. We were not disappointed. the views and the deck beach area are amazing. Its sister hotel the Royal Grand is slightly closer to the town so if walking is an issue you might want to consider that. It took us about 8-10 mins. Spotlessly clean and decent if not spectacular food both breakfast and dinner. Reception staff could have been a bit more attentive but then again they were all wearing masks in the middle of a pandemic so maybe that's a bit harsh! If your budget allows book a room with a Sea view - stunning and you can watch the sunset.

We've not seen such a perfectly done property in long time! Every detail, from the way the space is layed out, the lighting, the colors, the furniture (classy and traditional with an uptick of modern amenities and decor), the rooms -- just exquisite. Everything was spacious as well, no detail unattended. Then on top of that, the staff was generous, gracious, always accommodating . Our room overlooking the sea was perfectly situated, the linens, the products all great. And in the restaurant, the meals just kept getting better. We got a day at the water below/beach front and that was awesome as well. So well done, and sat in the sun for hours. Finally, it's quick qalk into town and worth doing every time to walk off the food and see other places and views.Cannot wait to return. Go alone or bring family and friends.

My daughter and I spent four nights at the Ambasciatori to celebrate her 21st birthday (2 weeks earlier). I had emailed the hotel prior to our arrival and they arranged for a complimentary bottle of Prosecco to be in our room with a belated birthday card which was a lovely gesture. The hotel itself was amazing with very attentive and helpful restaurant, reception and bar staff. Our room on the 2nd floor (611) was lovely, with a balcony overlooking the garden area/pool and with a view of the sea. The ‘private beach’ is a decked pontoon accessed by lift from the hotel and is a lovely quiet area with sun loungers and a bar. We were half board and the breakfasts were delicious and freshly made to order, as was lunch. We ate dinner in the restaurant on the first night and it was delicious. It’s not cheap but if you’re looking for luxury and amazing views of Sorrento (port & marina), Naples Bay and Mount Vesuvius this is definitely the place to stay. We loved it and will definitely go back. Grazie mille!!

After having cancelled several holidays this year because of Covid we were looking for a week in a comfortable hotel. Ambasciatori could not have been more perfect. Firstly it complies with all Covid rules of hygiene and separation. We felt very safe here. Secondly it is in the most amazing location with an elevator to a swimming platform. Handy for town but in a quiet location. Thirdly the hotel is immaculate and so relaxing. It was helped by being only 30% full but we just enjoyed the ambiance of the hotel and it’s spacious grounds. All the staff were so friendly and helpful. We had three great dinners here which we really enjoyed with the head waiter guiding us through the local wines. Breakfast presented a fantastic view over the bay of Naples and the usual great staff. Here was the only fault. As buffets are not allowed it is served at the table. The menu is laid out like a buffet and you order each item. They either all arrived together or in a random order. It was fine once we got used to it and provided some amusement. Our room was side sea view which looked over the harbour with fantastic sunsets. It had everything we needed and was spotless. A great week and we would stay here again without hesitation.

Stayed for five days in a classic double with sea views. The hotel and grounds are absolutely beautiful and we really enjoyed the private beach area. Everything about the hotel was five star - the service from the staff, breakfast, house keeping and the quality of the room. We will definitely return. If you are concerned about Covid, then the hotel is very safe and secure. My only general travel advice would be to avoid Naples. We stayed the final night in the city and wished we hadn’t left Sorrento!
