This review is probably colored by the fact the our room, and the rooms of our fellow hikers, were really small. While the room may have been okay as a single, it was not sufficient for a couple. We are two, so that made the stay uncomfortable. There was also an excess of chairs in the space (!), so that only made matters worse. Hotel was very friendly, and buffet ample for our needs. Dinner restaurant staff was very friendly, breakfast staff not so much. Server at breakfast really made it clear he was doing us a big favour by getting our coffee. Location is a bit out of town, but the walk into the village was not onerous. Lovely church across the street from the hotel. We would probably look elsewhere if we returned to the area.

The Sella area with "Dolomiti Suer Ski" offers endless skiing possibilities - choosing the Canazei village as your base is a good option, you can reach out in all directions. In Canazei "Cesa Tyrol" is a nice, well functioning and good hotel with friendly and helpful staff. The hotel's shuttle takes you to the village where you either take the cabin to Belvedere or the ski bus to Alba for more cabin options. The hotel offers a sauna and a gym, and a good restaurant. And yes, the bar is well stocked. If you have to complain about something it would be the lack of ant international TV-channels. No BBC, CNN etc available. But who goes skiing in Italy to watch TV?

Wow, just wow! Michale and Mary were our hosts at the hotel for the week. They along with all staff are certainly wonderful and do an excellent job for everyone. We had a group of 38 people and our stay included breakfast and dinner each night. Christina was the head waitress and seemed to run the floor, she was fantastic! Ask her about how she makes desserts! ;) Breakfast was as good or probably better than most European breakfasts you will find at hotels over there - you will not be disappointed in the morning. At night you will be even more impressed with dinner at the hotel, all 5 course excellent meals! We stayed in a Jr. Suite room, in the round tower on the corner, top floor. What a room, what a view! Most of the rooms have the balcony and face the town so views are all around. We had no complaints about any of our rooms for the week. They also have a shuttle to town for the Gondola etc. We were there for skiing and I did the Selle Rounda tour Green route one day, probably the better than orange route. Apres' skiing is decent in town but everything, except a few restaurants, close down from around Noon to 2pm, some places open but only for drinks and food later like 6pm. But you can find some for snacks and drinks if you stop skiing early. Cleaning staff are very pleasant and accommodating. One waiter was also very funny, Colissimo? Can't remember his name. There is no question about where I will stay next time I ski the Dolomite mountains, Hotel Cesa Tyrol of course!

Superb choice for ski holiday. Accommodation, food and service first class. Transportation to and from ski lifts included, makes really difference. Quiet environment with relaxing bath/sauna area. Can really be recommended for the couples who like have a full first class package.

The rooms were clean, modern, large and beautiful, and it appeared most had good views and balconies. The rest of the place was equally pleasing. The staff was friendly, professional and gave impressive customer service. The food and dining experience was terrific. The place offers fun perks like a small bowling alley, heated ski boot room, comfortable bar, and a special night of dining surprises and entertainment. The location is excellent...walkable to town and great shuttle service.
