We had a junior suite and it was spacious and comfortable. The staff were all pleasant. Th breakfast was delicious. We parked our car 150 meters away and rolled our luggage easily to the hotel. One of the staff went out and parked our car in their parking. We were happy for this as here are many ZTL zones around open only to locals. We couldn’t have been happier with the spacious room, the helpful staff, and the delicious breakfast. The quirkiness was due to charging two Euros for the little coffee packets in the room. We’ve travel all over the world, and that is a first for us. Also, you were limited to two cups of coffee at breakfast. Maybe there’s a coffee shortage in Orvieto? Anyway, we enjoyed our stay, and we’ll stay there again, perhaps longer on our next trip to Orvieto.

Family owned Hotel in quiet Orvieto. Our room was huge! Beautiful bathroom with amenities. Breakfast was included. Through winding tight roads which are all cobblestone, the owner helped us navigate to the private parking area. We were on the 3rd floor and they have a small elevator! There are paintings everywhere from Livio Orazio Valentini. They are his private collection. The owner has books that show Valentini’s works. The owner said we could call him Johnny and he explained in broken English everything we needed to be comfortable. Very hospitable!

This is a small hotel in a small walled hilltop town in Umbria. There are not many choices, and among those you have, Hotel Duomo is one of the best. The rooms are not luxurious, but they are clean and comfortable. The included breakfast was tasty, ample and varied, and the location could not have been better for walking all over town and seeing both the sights and the shops. There were a couple of minor issues. We had a junior suite and although it included a small table and chairs, there was no comfortable place to sit and relax. My son had a regular room, and there was a desk facing the wall and a desk chair, but nowhere else to sit. There would have been space for a comfortable chair in both rooms. There is a nice sitting area in the lobby but a loud TV is always on, so it is not a place to relax. (The TV seems to be for the entertainment of the front desk, not the guests.) In a warmer season, the exterior courtyard might have been an option, but we were there in chilly October. In addition, my adult son requested an additional blanket, and the person at the desk actually argued that it was not necessary and only reluctantly gave him one. All in all, it was a satisfactory stay and certainly the many good points outweigh the small inconveniences.

The room (in a separate building) was okay, but cramped and as was the toilet and shower area. But it was reasonably comfortable. The hotel is right next to the Duomo, so is in an excellent position. The complimentary breakfast was very good too. However, I found the check in process terse and unfriendly. We felt as if we were "processed" rather than checked into a small friendly country town hotel. Also, the guy who took our cases to the room, seemed to be in a terrible rush and was literally half-running us to the location and up the stairs. Often, it's the first impression that counts and the woman at the front counter and her unfriendly demeanour and the guy rushing us to our room - didn't really set the tone for what should be a friendly experience. I have written plenty of reviews and this would be one of my first negative comments. Sorry.

We landed here by coincidence. The car broke down and sos international booked this little treat for us. Placed right next to Il Duomo and within walking distance to everything in Orvieto. Big clean room and good breakfast. The staff was fantastic.
