We arrived from the Airport by Taxi at a cost of 68 euros (80 euros back to the airport) The staff were freindly & always willing to give advice. Although we had booked twin bads, the hotel was not told, but they changed our room immediately, but were then on different floors to our friends. We arrived early morning, but our rooms were available straight away, which we appreciated. Room was a nice size with TV, Safe, wardrobe & drawers. The bathroom had a WC, Bidet, basin & the smallest shower I have ever been in. Being tall & large build, I did find I was unable to move around. We had a hair dryer, but ours never worked. The beds were comfortable, but we only had one cushion each, but they supplied an extra one when asked. Although the TV had around 300 stations, I could not find one English channel, other than old fashioon films. I like to listen to the news, but all news channels were in Italian. We were bed & breakfast, so it was a shock to find no coffee maiing facilities. The hotel was not providing any evening facilities, like a bar, coffee, crisps, nuts etc. The receptionist turned on the lights in the lounge so we could play cards. Breakfast was very good, with all the usual cakes, cerials, yoghurt etc. They did have some scambled eggs & bacon, with rolls etc. I did find the staff were not relaying tables, clean plates, spoons etc, so you were always asking the waitress. It was a shame because the hotel has all the ingredience to improve their facilities with the staff in place with the willingness to please.
The bus / tram station was a 10 minute walk away & you could get to most places from this point. We brought a 2 day bus, water bus, tram pass which was 30 eauros each, but we certainly had our value, travelling all over Venice. We went to a local restaurant just down the road, which was excellent. It was called the Marco Polo
