Booked a triple room for 2 nights
Location of hotel is good. Just back from San Marco Square in a quiet thoroughfare.
On check in we found we were not in the main part of the hotel but had to go down a side alley, through a couple of doors, to where there is 3 (maybe 4) rooms. I am still not sure why! We booked this hotel about 8 months ago and were hoping for a hotel experience...we did not get it. All we got was a room.
The room was not really a triple...rather a double with an extra bed (camp stretcher style) squeezed in. At over €300 for 2 nights...not good. As expected in Europe, the room was small but the disappointment lies in the room did not match the website photos. Had I booked knowing this is what I was getting this review would be more favourable. THE ROOM WAS DARK AND DISAPPOINTING.
Breakfast was ok. Basic continental. Food was fresh and the warm croissants were nice. On the first morning we did not know how to get in for breakfast....as we had to come from outside the main building and the door was locked.
Booking direct on website states
One-way transfer to the Isle of Murano to visit a glass factory.
- 1 City map
- 10/20% Discount for the parking “Garage San Marco” or 15 % for the “Tronchetto”......
We did get a map but no information on Murano or the parking discount.
Also the wifi did not work in our room or the breakfast room.
Reading other reviews, it seems perhaps if you get a room in the main part of the hotel you may enjoy your stay. Unfortunately if you are unlucky and get one in the ‘other’ part well....
Unfortunately, based on our stay, I can NOT recommend this hotel and would NOT stay again.
