Lovely place to relax!! Large rooms. Wonderful shower unit with room and a seat for two )) Great surroundings also, compleet with a [smal] swimming pool in a nice country setting, and all just a stroll down to the C d P city center. We tried the sauna also: nice! Great breakfast, too!! All in all: a rating of 5!!

If your American, you probably have somewhat of a fascination with castles. While this isn’t Downtown Abbey, there are only a few rooms, so you can pretend it’s all yours! The rooms are spacious. The furnishing regal. Katie and her family go out of their way to make you feel special. The breakfast is lovely and Katia or her mother will make you the very best scrambled eggs. They will also remember your coffee preference from one morning to the next. Within walking distance to Citta della Pieve, this a a nice place to stay to make your dream of being a prince or princess come true!

The hotel is a wonderful renovated castle close to the beautifull city of Citta della Pieve. The hostess, Katia, does everything to make you feel at home and wants to make sure your stay is an excellent one. Our room (La Toretta) was very spacious, very nice, very clean and allowed us to relax in the hot Umbrian weather. The breakfast was far above what can be expected for a country that does not emphasize breakfast. There were at least 5 or 6 different pies, wonderfull cheeses and ham or salami apart from the fresh fruit and the eggs that are prepared at your liking. We highly recommend this hotel.

Six of us were booked into the Relais for the start of our week long self-guided bike trip through Umbria. Three added two extra nights at the start of the trip and three of us added one extra night. We are so glad we did. Katia and her family were terrific hosts, so warm and welcoming. Our rooms were spacious and elegant. Breakfast was ample and tasty. On our last night, we had a wonderful dinner there, prepared by Katia and her mother, with wine pairings recommended by Katia. It remains the best meal of our trip. And if that were not enough, one of us left a wallet in the room. We called upon arrival at our next destination and it was easily arranged that Katia's husband could drop it off on his way to work the next morning, which he did. A wonderful stay and experience, above and beyond expectations.

This is a once in a life-time experience! Highly recommed it! Ask Katia to tell you the story of the castle and you will be amazed and feeling very froufrou :) We stayed at a very nice and big room, just like in the last century. This place is all about luxury and fine emotions. Thank you, Katia! What to say, just typical italian hospitality :)
