This was my first stay at a hotel of APA group as the hotel is very close to Nobeoka Station and the fee is cheap. Because of the cost, I should not complain but I did not like this hotel so I would not stay again at APA hotels. Why? 1. This is a non smoking room but I felf the odor of smoke(slightly though) 2. The room was very narrow. Big westerners may feel like being an Alice in wonderland. (Max allowable height should be 5' 8'') 3. I found several black dirt on the bathroom floor but actually they were spots where plastic surface was taken away. I also found two orange color spot on the wash basin and first thought they were gum but they were just color changed. No problem to use bathroom but did not feel relaxed.

We stayed here one night during our holiday. It is a fair price for what you get, although we stayed in hotels that offer more and have a better price. However it is not an area where a lot of western tourists come, so it is a plus that you can book this hotel online. The rooms have Japanese size and the bathroom as well. There are local craft beers on sale in the lobby, you can park for 300yen a night and you can use the umbrellas for free. The breakfast was included and was good. It includes a buffet with mainly Japanese breakfast but there is also a small western section work some bread, yoghurt and fruit. We had a good stay and would stay again if required.

I had ended up staying in this hotel for about a month during a long trip to Japan. As the title implies, it was not a Western experience, but that was far from terrible. First off, if you're used to family suites and larger rooms in the United States, you'll be in for a surprise. Being primarily a buisness hotel that services the region, all of the rooms are very small. Think about the size of a two-person stateroom aboard a cruise ship and you'll have a good idea. The room I stayed in the first night had a view of the other side of the neighboring addition a few feet away, but the next one had a beautiful view on the sixth floor overlooking the city itself. Despite the size, the rooms are equipped with a television that gets local and on-demand channels, a refrigerator for your personal use, and an ethernet cable in the event the hotel's free wifi doesn't quite reach you. Bathrooms and small, and a little short for someone around 6". Room cleaning occurs every day before noon, and it can get a little noisy if you sleep in, but on the plus side it does give you fresh towels and complimentary grooming products each day. The hotel has a dry cleaning service that you can request, and it also has a laundrette for personal use, but I'd recommend doing laundry in the early day, there are only 3 machines and after prolonged use the dryer filters clog, meaning damp clothes no matter what you try. Hotel staff is incredibly friendly, and even if you do not speak Japanese, they will try to accommodate as best they can. The front desk provides some additional toiletries that are not brought to the rooms, such as bath salts and sponges. In house restaurant is a little pricier than restaurants that you'll find around town, and in my opinion not quite worth the price, though if you're not feeling a walk on the town it is still excellent nonetheless. There are other hotels in Nobeoka which give off more of a family hotel vibe, but if you want a cheap hotel for a solo trip or with one or two friends, there's not much better in the area for the price.
