Shin Osaka is one of the big hubs in Kansai region.
This hotel is connected to the station (where there are tons of shops / restaurants / quick snacks, btw). It has easy access to the shinkashen, JR lines, subway lines.
For people who desires to check out the surrounding areas such as Kyoto, Himeji, Kobe, Nara, even Tokyo, this hotel makes a great base.
Amenities wise, it is not a top end one. It does have a small gym with sauna, but no pool.
there are restaurants on site, but we did not check them out.
When we arrived there, it was right when the Covid 19 epidemic started and big tourist locations were beginning to close. The hotel staff not only helped us navigate what is still opened, they also provided us with a few face masks to protect ourselves. It was very kind of them.
There were also plenty of hand sanitizing stations.
We had a upper floor room, the room is pretty standard and there is nothing to write home about. Clean, with standard basic amenities.
You really are staying here for the superb location.
One thing I would add, given the close proximity to the station, you may want to request a room that is not facing the railroad. Light sleepers beware.
