We had a very pleasant 2 night stay here. The staff were helpful and made sure our needs were met. When we woke up on the first morning, it was snowing. The girls, aged 4 and 3, were thrilled. We come from Singapore and this was the first time they see snow.
Not used to driving on a wet, snow covered road, we decided not to venture into town. Close to the hotel is a little art and crafts centre. The girls learned candle making and wooden notice boards. The onsen at the hotel is also good, giving us a chance to unwind on a rather hectic trip.
The food is nicely prepared. The first evening, we had a kaiseki meal and the second evening, French fusion, nice.
I think a 3 night stay would have allowed more time to enjoy the facilities here. Unfortunately, we had to get on with our journey, what a shame.
