I stayed at the Toyoko Inn for 4 nights as our team wanted to be close to the airport for daily meetings there. So while I was apprehensive at first, I ended up pleasantly surprised. For sure the rooms are small, utilitarian, but extremely clean and well thought out. The rooms have all one would need in terms of bedding comfort, table for work, power plugs for electronics - all of it in a very compact space... but it works. The bathrooms are made of a one-piece molded plastic, unsuspecting by western standards (I’m in construction) but once again the bathroom was basic and fine. Breakfast was surprisingly good, and while not the standards of the other large western luxury hotels in the city, it was plentiful and tasty. If you’re looking for a lower budget hotel or one near the airport, this hotel is just fine.
